I have been seeing reports and videos of lynch putting in work this off-season for footwork with a qb guru, not sure how much time he has been putting in but maybe he is finally figuring it out.

Instead of bringing in a veteran, just draft another kid in the draft that you like, mahomes seems exciting if he falls a little.

I would like Denver to maybe address a ILB or a LT before the draft. Not sure about Dunlap, Injuries and off field stuff is not ideal but then again might be the only way to go.

Yeah I do think most of it is just the media trying to create a story during the off season. Joseph said that he's talked a lot with Lynch and he believes Lynch is on the right track. But yeah we need to address QB sooner rather than later if they decide he's not the guy.

I'd be fine having Davis start again, but I'm not opposed to drafting a guy either. If we are to address LT before the draft, it would likely be Dunlap. I'd be alright with him on a team friendly deal.

The Broncos filled out some holes on the roster in Free Agency, but there is still one position that should make fans concerned... Left Tackle... Who are some options for the Broncos that Elway may bring in? I wrote a story looking at it from a draft focus! Check it out cuz everyone loves ole doc cy! lol

Here is some more good information about our salary cap situation from an ESPN article.
Maybe most everyone here already knows this, but I didn't and it might be good information for someone else:

.....They’ve signed five free agents since March 9 -- guard Ronald Leary, tackle Menelik Watson, defensive lineman Domata Peko, nose tackle Zach Kerr and outside linebacker Kasim Edebali -- and according to Friday’s figures at the NFL Players Association, the Broncos have $20.973 million worth of cap space after their top 51 contracts are calculated against the $167 million salary cap for each team.

Only a team’s top 51 salary-cap figures for the upcoming season count against the salary cap until the rosters go to 53 players just before the regular season begins. At that point all 53 contracts as well as players on injured reserve count against the cap.......

.....Denver also has 10 picks in the April draft, including four in the top 101 picks, and five in the top 126 picks. Those 10 picks project to a draft pool of just over $7 million. Teams must have the salary-cap space to fit the draft pool before the draft opens in order to make any selections.

Take away the current draft pool, and the Broncos have about $13.5 million in workable cap space to sign any additional free agents without adjusting any of their current contracts. Elway has also consistently said that he doesn’t like “to be right up against the cap because you’re going to have injuries.’’......

I have been saying this all along to me it doesnt make sense to pick 10 players in the draft. our roster the way it is will not have 10 rookies make the team. I would trade picks to move up in draft and have only 6-7 quality picks for the draft.

Good find dbronco, 13 million sounds about that space they want Romo at if he is released. Hoping there might be some good cap casualties around camp we could scoop on the cheap.

Peter's maybe? I just want more info on what's going on in the Broncos management room haha

Albert Breer said that Romo prefers Houston and honestly I'm fine with that. Recently everything about Lynch is positive. I'm fine just rolling with Lynch and Siemian. Maybe Siemian makes a huge jump this year, and if not, Lynch needs to play at some point anyways.

I know we carried $7.2M over in cap space from last year.
If there are no good buys to be found, maybe we will just carry over the $13.5M (+ any amount of draft pool $$ unspent) to 2018....

Isn't there some requirement that we spend X% of the cap each year?
If so, it must not be a very high percentage or else Cleveland, Jacksonville, etc. wouldn't have had so much to spend.

Elway said he likes to keep some space in case of injuries. That's why I'm wondering if they ever really had a plan to bring Romo in. The way they spent tends to lead to the conclusion that they never did want to pursue Romo. I'd bet we'll sign some cap casualties and roll into the season with around $10M in space.

What are your guys' thoughts on trading a compensatory 3rd round pick for Sheldon Richardson? The Jets didn't want a 4th rounder for him but I'd give up a 3rd and maybe even a late rounder for him. He's got his baggage off the field but so did Talib. He's only 26 and I'd say there's no one in the 3rd round that we could draft that could step in and do a better job than him. I think he's owed 8mil this year. Thoughts?

isn't he a free agent next year? I wouldn't mind having that guy even tho it seems he isn't really into football all that much. He is talented tho! Not as much of a pass rusher as Malik but best thing we could get in the middle to push the pocket

apparently according to mike florio, Dware is possibly just taking a soft retirement and would be open to signing with a contender some time this year!

^That's pretty ballsy....he'd have to stay in game shape throughout the season...how can you do that without playing in games? Just ask Evan Mathis who completely skipped all that preseason work....but was constantly hurt throughout the season. I'm sure an aspiring play-off team will take a flier but it wouldn't be wise to bank on him.

This shouldn't be any surprise but Elway has said that "nothing is fixed" at LT. So.....we're not ACTUALLY rolling with Donald at LT..if anyone were to think that..

I can't help but think Elway has something up his sleeve for all those draft picks. Maybe trade for a LT....I still believe he works something out with Jones before the end of the owners meetings
