Sometimes guys don't bother going into this--the regular season trade/discussion thread so as I posted on the February thread.

Rangers deal Mat Brodie to Buffalo for Catenacci.

    DANIEL CATENACCI
    C
    Status: In the minors
    Height: 5'9
    Weight: 191 lbs.
    Shoots: L
    Experience: 1 years
    Birthdate: Mar 9, 1993
    Birthplace: Richmond Hill, Ont.
Drafted: Drafted by Buffalo in 2011 (3/77).
Acquired: Acquired in a trade with Buffalo in 2017.

    SCOUTING REPORT
    ASSETS:
Has classic playmaking skills from the pivot position. Is feisty and competitive, even if not big or very strong. Also plays a sound two-way game.
    FLAWS:
Is somewhat undersized for the National Hockey League game, so he must continue to add strength in order to become an impact professional.
    CAREER POTENTIAL:
    Versatile depth forward.

Rumor mill says Faulk and Murphy have been made available by Carolina--looking for a forward.

We picked up Branden Smith from Detroit for a 2018 2nd Rd pick and a 2017 3rd Rd. Pick.

Buchnevich has been sent down and Kampher has been brought up--Girardi and Klein are both hurt--so he's starting 2night.

Buchnevich is more of a paper transaction--he should be brought back up once everything is cleared up as far as the 24 man roster.

So far and it's a small sample size but I really like Kampfer, surprised he hasn't gotten a shot earlier.

You guys noticed Sather, Gorton and Schoenfeld were all at today's game. They may still be working on more deals.

If Vancouver is selling hopefully we can also get one of Strecher, Tanev, Gudbranson.

Hansen would be good but we have so many forwards and especially 3-4 line guys here.

This game against Was. was really disheartening, it shows how far we are from going deep in the playoffs. They just pushed us around---over matched physically and they were even better than us stickhandling wise too.

I know this is reaching but would Streit be a cheap fix for our PP? Pirri for Streit?

Detroit may actually be a place he can have plenty of time to develop. I wish the best for Wrath.

Why haven't we moved Jensen, Hrivik and Pirri.

We should be looking for a righthanded defenseman someone along the lines Josh Manson, Ryan Murphy (Car.), Gudbranson( had wrist surgery in Dec. but could still be a good long term fix for us).
