How can we improve activity on PSD?

I wouldn't limit it to 3 threads a day. Site is dead enough. Then if you hit your limit but cant post some ground breaking news worthy of a new topic cant post it cause ya hit your limit. Also limits posters creating game threads. Best option is to spam twitter or create a facebook page link facebook to forums here or something.

I think it's all about catering to the current users of the site as I don't realistically see a surge of new users joining anytime soon.

Maybe a "Latest" threads area where you can see what is being discussed in currently.

We don't allow new users to post threads due to spam issues in the past. I believe it's still at 100 posts right now, but we're looking to lower that, if it hasn't been changed already.

It's designed to keep out spam bots first and foremost. Pete was a member of a board that I owned before I came to PSD, so I have no problem approving him.

It is def pretty damn pathetic. This site is lucky it has retained any sort of member base between that and everything else.
