A couple more good starts and Shields should be on his way out of town.

They will get a marginal spec for him, and that's ok. My guess is that when he is finally moved it will be Kopech time.

hitting .280 in AA not bad, he's 19 still has plenty of time to develop.

If Shields continues to pitch reasonably well he will be traded for a marginal spec.

Would much rather have the #6 overall MLB prospect and #1 overall SS prospect.

There is NO disputing that it was a bad trade, the facts speak for themselves. What some refuse to accept is that AT THE TIME Tatis Jr was an unknown 17 y/o kid. Hope he makes it in the major leagues, looking pretty good right now, but until he does he's still just a prospect.

With Dylan Covey pitching well, parting ways with Shields is almost a necessity now......

Listening to 670 this morning Bruce Lavine thinks Shields will be dealt to a contender. Makes sense to me too, but obviously I'm in the minority here. I still don't think he'll bring much back, maybe they package him with someone. 6 weeks or so until the trade deadline.
