If thats all were paying than wow great deal!! Not sure what happens with his opt out clause? Honestly I would like him to still have it and be money motivated to pitch his *** off rest of the season and get the Sox back in the playoffs!

Most starts allowing 10 runs in a game among active pitchers.

That sounds like he had a ******** Manager who left him in to get knocked around.
So how are the Cubs doing?

im meh w it. he is not a great pitcher. but it will do as he should still be better than Latos/Gonzales.

the good news is we didnt part w anything great and the money isnt bad. so we still have resources to trade for a bat which i hope we do sooner than later.

If he can be consistently average it's a good deal.

Okay with the trade, but this shouldn't be the last move.

I'm convinced now that we need more run production on the hitting side. Thinking we can pitch our way to a AL Championship is not going happen. Maybe in the NL you can get away with dependence on SP, but the recent losses by us shows the need to have a batting line-up that can match runs.

It was a good trade, we really didnt give anything up except money. It doesn't fix the problem with this team though.....can't score any runs.

Second impressions as well. This guy looks bad out there, missing locations with an average at best fastball, falling off the mound, making a bi8g error throwing to second, and giving up the long ball.....all for 27 Million dollars. I wonder if his bro' stayed for his second start.
