    2017 Random Thoughts Thread

I can't find the old one.....

So in a discussion about a player, I went to check said player's combine numbers

    Height: 6042
    Weight: 267
    40 Yrd Dash: 4.44

    That seems impossible....

Anyone have a guess who it is?

Sounds like an al Davis guy

If I had to venture a guess I'd say Brandon Jacobs.

but i did. cant prove i didnt do that.

anyways i got bored and looking at the Measurables between him and henry and they are very similiar.
Jacobs has a lil more speed while henry is a little quicker. a touch stronger for henry as well(3 reps FWIW) and did better in the better broad jump by a foot.

titans better hope he doesnt end up like him cuz that would be a bust of a 2nd round pick IMO.

Jacobs was never a sub 4.50 guy.

    4.56 seconds
Brandon Jacobs, 40 yard dash time

The fastest huge RB was Christian "Nigerian Nightmare" Okoye, he was a legit 4.46. While at Azusa Pacific he ran the 200m and a leg on the 4x1 relay. All that at 255 pounds. He was a world class discus thrower also.

The fastest over 220 pounder plus.

    Herschel Walker
    Bo Jackson
    Marcus Dupree

All could run the 100 yard dash in 9.5.

As far as the Raiders and their thing about speed goes.

They have had 8 players who ran a sub 10.20 in college. There are countries that can't say that.

NFL draft scout has him at 4.44....I just used that.

He ran a 4.56 at the combine, that is regarded as the legit time.

As you know track/sprinting is my pet, trust me on this one Jacobs was no 4.44.

    Height: 6'4"

    Weight: 270 pounds

    40-yard dash: 4.64 seconds

Bench Press: 25 reps at 225 pounds

    Vertical: 40 inches

Actually, these are the stats of the widely regarded biggest linebacker in the NFL today, Sean Merriman.

Brandon Jacobs is the same height and only five pounds lighter than "Lights Out." Plus, Jacobs actually ran an impressive 4.56 seconds in the combine, which absolutely dominates Sean Merriman's time at his Pro Day. If Jacobs changed positions today, he would be considered one of the biggest and most athletic linebackers in the NFL.
