    My Powerball Winning Numbers were:

    6 - Ryan Howard
    11 - Jimmy Rollins
    14- Pete Rose
    26 - Chase Utley
    32 - Steve Carlton
    20 - Mike Schmidt (powerball)

It looks like I should have went with:

    8 - Bob Boone
    27 - Juan Marichal
    34 - Roy Halladay
    4 - Lenny Dykstra
    19 - Robin Yount
    10 - Larry Bowa/Darren Daulton (Powerball)

Seriously, I actually considered all of those Phillies along listed with John Kruk's 29 at one point. Should've, could've, would've.

I doubt any of us can muster even an iota of caring about Cespedes.

Well the Phillies missed out on a free Rymer Liriano, but now Carlos Torres and Christian Friedrich could be targets. The 40-man roster is full, but I see several obvious cuts among the pitchers.

Guys, what's your take on Vincent Velasquez on the rotation next year?

He'll have a shot to compete for a role but it's not his to lose yet. Might be more of a reliever long term. We'll just have to see.

Mike Olt would make sense as somebody to compete for the first base job. Might be able to sneak him through waivers in late spring.

I would be happy with Olt. He hasn't played well up in the majors but maybe he can finally figure it out and come close to the success he had in the minors.
