I have heard any where from 5-20. But once he gets a taste of the minors that can change drastically.

I would put him somewhere in the 10-20 range just for now. If he does as well as I think he can he can go top 5, maybe higher. Hes got stud potential for sure. But we have to see him for sure.

Profar needs season ending surgery, ugh.

Kid can't catch a break, wonder if he will ever be anything at this point

@BenBadler: Due to an MLB rule, Cuban pitchers Vladimir Gutierrez and Yadier Alvares will not be able to sign until July 2: http://t.co/4DKX825LvV
Bad news for the Yanks,Diamondbacks,Red Sox and possibly Dodgers.

Remember when people were talking about a profar for taveras swap?

Just so unfortunate how two top prospects can fall so fast. At least with profar, the skill is there. And at least he is still so young.

That sucks, I was really hoping to get both Alvares and Moncada this off season.

Surprised we got Moncada. Lots of depth in our system.

It's truly sad on both fronts.

Profar still has a shot as long as his shoulder injury doesn't kill his arm. And even if it does, someone with his pop and ability to make contact (shown more in the minors granted) could be an above average regular at 2B. Plenty of potential still if he can get healthy and stay that way.

For sure, he still has plenty of upside.

You should hear the backlash around here though...people calling for Jon Daniels head because he didn't trade Profar and should have seen this coming, lmao

I hate our fan base, 60% are bandwagon fans who jumped on in 09 because of Nolan Ryan, and now they blame everything on him being "pushed out" by the organization.

Hell, we have radio personalities who complain like that. Some people suck.

Lets not compare the two situations. What happened to Taveras was a complete anomaly. Just such an unfortunate disaster. What happened to Profar isn't too uncommon. Feel sort of bad for him, but its part of the game and it comes with the territory.
