Shintaro Fujinami's Tigers are going to be in the Nippon Series, which is like the World Series but only play by Japanese teams rather than America and sometimes Canada. Otani's Fighters lost but we were very close to both of those guys being on the championship stage.

    Games start on the 25th!

    ----

Kris Bryant or Addison Russell - which is more likely to be the most franchise-y of the Cubs' franchise prospects? Is the answer actually Jorge Soler? Vote now!

Tomohiro Anraku was drafted 1st overall by the Rakuten Golden Eagles (tanka's former team) His fastball clocks as high as 97. So it will be cool to watch his career progress going forward.

IDK he's to small to be compared to Darvish, I think Mt. Fuji on Hanshin is more like Darvish, though without the same volume of pitches.

I'm thinking Trea Turner will be a quality player for the Padres. I had no idea they sent him to the AFL. Not doing all that well (.280/.308/.280), but impressive to get sent there right after getting drafted. Saw him tonight and lot of line drives, albeit most were foul balls against a RH junkballer.

Every pitch from a 2014 Fujinami start. Some really nasty pitches in there including the ol' 96 MPH fastball that runs back over the plate against lefties.

However, Fujinami didn’t hide his frustration after the game. Asked whether he wanted to play in the major leagues in future, Fujinami said, “I fall far short of players who can talk about such things.”
