Its a badass pregame dance for sure. Its a big thing for them in new Zealand I guess, that's why Adams is being so sensitive about it.

Not surprising Adams would take issue with it. New Zealand takes their history and traditions seriously. NZ basketball team's haka isn't even that scary compared to their union team:

It's hard to believe JH is so good on offense because the only thing worse than his IQ is his defense. The Rockets should have included a "Learn to read or become a mime" clause in his contract.
Your perception of the obvious is OUTSTANDING!!!

ignorant american is ignorant. It's part of their culture, the maori people of New Zealand do this as a challenge/war cry before each Basketball game..

Maybe the US team should've started twerking to retaliate?

Can't even put into words how much respect I have for the US players not falling down laughing in their faces while they were doing that.

I admit i was rofl from NZ's dance, but you gotta respect their culture and keep those type of comments to yourself. AI should know better...

Even one of the NZ players was half laughing as he danced.

I wonder if Team New Zealand could beat the Americans in a fight. American NBA players have always seemed really soft, and the international players seem to have more of an edge to them – I wouldn't want to fight Ginobili, and Batum would simply crush my nuts.

Steven Adams would definitely **** Harden up. Harden is so damn soft. I live in New Zealand and the haka definitely has its place in rugby. Its really quite electrifying watching it performed in front of 60,000 home fans, the place goes crazy. But they need to axe it in other sports, just looks stupid on a basketball court.

At the same time, that dance is made to intimidate. They were looking at our guys all crazy and psycho. They were trying to punk us and flex on us. Thats why I don't get the have respect for our culture stuff. If your culture isn't trying to punk me then Im cool with it, but if part of your culture is to try and punk me, then Im going to try and punk it back.
