    2014 Practice Squad

    Dave Birkett @davebirkett 1m
A couple practice squad additions for the #Lions, familiar names OT Michael Williams and WR Andrew Peacock. Both had good camps.
Really happy the Lions were able to get Williams to the practice squad...I think he's going to be good.

Former #Lions TE Jacob Maxwell is signing with the Dolphins practice squad.

And local favorite RB George Winn is back with the #Lions practice squad.

I could see Williams making the jump to the main roster at some point this year. If not he will take Hilliards spot next season.

Winn should be on the active roster over 1 of the fullbacks that made it. ****ing ridiculous.

He's not going to have an opportunity to fumble when he will be on special teams.

Couldn't you argue Owens will do the same thing though? Jed is the starter while Owens is the jack of all trades.

Or put him on the PS (while we can) and let a pro bowl STer (in owens) do the special teams who can also come in and take some handoffs in a pinch without much worry of rookie mistakes.

Dont get me wrong, I like him and i see a spot for him in the future, but its about winning now and Owens just brings more to the 53 than Winn does.

He was faster than Bush and a better/more reliable receiver IMO.

Winn was a pre-season star. I doubt we will hear more from him. Besides, we have Bush, Bell, Riddick. He would have gotten 0 carries.
    ***DID YOU KNOW?***
In exchange for Barry Sanders, Ndamukong Suh & Calvin Johnson, the Detroit Lions received.......one comp pick.

Will they lose Stafford the Same Old Lions way too?
