Are the only realistic answers. I feel Stockton is alil overrated. Inflated assists for sure.

Glad other respectable posters agree. Love Stockton, but not sure he is a top 30 player

It would follow the tradition of putting career 2nd option losers that we started with Baylor.

It is getting interesting. Right now I'm thinking,

    Clyde
    Barry
    Mchale
    Willis
    Stockton/Isiah
    Drexler
    Dominque

Not seeing McHale as a top 30 guy. Robert Parish is ahead of him at the very least. From 78-91, Parish slashed 17.4/10.5/1.7 with 1.7 blocks and .8 steals on .584 TS/.549 eFG. That is very comparable to McHale's career line and it was done in more games. Parish also blows him out of the water in longevity, which for some reason people don't really value (and in fact seem to tacitly penalize since longevity hurts rate stats).

Drexler not enough for me yet, but he's top 30 IMO. I took Stockton because I think he's the best PG outside of Magic period.

I personally would not have Parrish ahead of Mchale (or in the top 30 anywhere) but that is a interesting call and I could see it going either way for some people. I think Stockton was the best at playing PG I ever saw but not the best player who played ever PG if that makes any sense. I'm a big Stockton fan and if I was to pick a Dream Team he would be the guy I would want distributing the ball to guys like Bird and Jordan. Still would be a tough call were to place him. I think Stockton really helped make Malone. I like the way you approach your picks. You do not just fall in line to advanced stats, fads, the crowd, or current players.

Mchale was better than Parish... offensively... and defensively ... case closed.
