Would love another team here in toronto as i personally hate the leafs, i used to like them until MLSE started getting really greedy and make it expensive as hell for a game, then the prices for playoffs are outrageous. Think Milwaukee should get a team they got a big hockey fan base there, trade the panthers there

Supposedly Bill Daly shot this down, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were just waiting for everything to be official to confirm these reports.

4 teams is too many. 2 would be ok as it would even up the conferences. Vegas and Seattle in the West would be my guess.

Agreed. Unless two teams are moving to Quebec and Toronto, 34 teams is way too many. Would be great if like we moved Florida and either Tampa Bay, or something to those two locations, but a 4 Team expansion is far too much.

I don't get it either. There are so many struggling teams in the US why not just relocate them to Vegas and Seattle, Toronto, and Quebec. I'm not that big a fan of Vegas or the second team in Toronto either. Vegas would be awful and I think if Ontario got another team it should be Hamilton not Toronto.

I'd rather see the Panthers just move to Quebec City. It's a shame Phoenix couldn't go to Seattle a couple years ago.

The struggling teams are designed to, to an extent. They get some traction in terms of youth hockey, that should translate to popularity a generation down the road.

As far as how that process is going and if that grassroots approach is working... not really sure. Seems like it is often hard to tell if those same teams are putting a bad product on the ice.

Expansion to 32 I can deal with. 34? Yikes.

For the fun of it lets throw around potential team names!

    Seattle SuperSonics!

They should get rid of teams before adding new teams but that wont happen because it's all about the money.

4 teams = waters the league down.

I wish the NHL would smarten up and realize that instead of expanding, just take the **** markets like the Panthers, and Phoenix Coyotes and move them to QC and Seattle. It literally changes nothing to the conferences/divisions, and gives deserved markets a team. Won't that alone boost revenue for the league?

We don't need more teams. If anything they need to relocate or reduce.

Bring back the Seattle Metropolitans and the Quebec City Nordiques, and call it a day. **** teams in non-traditional hockey markets. Hockey isn't a casual fan sport. You're either all in or not in at all. Let's put teams in cities where it will matter. Las Vegas? Makes me nauseous.....

I'm of the opinion that this "leak" gets it wrong when they say 4 new teams and what really is going to happen is 2 new teams and 2 teams moving.
