Some reports saying he's not supposed to be in the line up till Wednesday. That's like having a chick stop mid blow job.

In my opinion, he's our best prospect.

Injury problems aside, I have zero idea why he's ranked so low.

Bahahahahhahaha...I don't know if anything is any worse than that. But in all hindsight yes that would be bad to make us wait until Wednesday.

With the way the Cubs have played lately, they are just 2.5 games ahead of the Mets for the last protected pick.

Soler's promotion might just shoot the pooch lol

Unless she is stopping for better things.........a good meal.

That lineup is getting better and better, I hope they can all keep them down the line.

Odd stat and I know SSS but over their last 28 games they're playing at a pace for 93 wins and they've been around .500 since mid may which is in the hunt for the WC

In my opinion Kris Bryant will be the best of the group. His defense isn't great and I could see him being moved to RF if they want to keep all their infield prospects but the dude is going to be one of the three best hitters in the NL.

Kris Bryant? I could see how people might think he's better than guys like Baez, but absolutely no way is he a better prospect than Bryant.

It's debatable. Obviously he doesn't have the power of Bryant (though he's no slouch in his own right) nor does he not play as difficult of a position (at least currently while Bryant is listed as a 3b). However, his patience and contact ability definitely is better than Bryant's. He's probably the safest and most polished of our big name guys.

I would take Bryant over Baez without a thought.

Bryant is my favorite MLB prospect.

I would have taken him first overall a few years ago, and I thought the Cubs got really lucky that he fell to them after Appel. Astros ****ed that one up, and I said it at that time too. Bryant was and is the best prospect in baseball in my mind.

Have you seen Soler's numbers this year?

.340/.423/.700, 1.132 OPS on the season with a 20.1 K%, 14.1 BB%, .349 ISO, 15 HRs (in 62 games), and he makes better contact so he carries a bit less risk translating to the majors.

I guess really it's just borderline comical that this guy was the FIFTH OR SIXTH ranked Cubs prospect on most of the midseason lists. Hell, BP even mentioned that Schwarber would've made their list in the 40's if they'd included 2014 draftees, meaning they had Soler as the SEVENTH(!) best prospect in the Cubs system, at best.

Bryant is going to set the career record for oppo blasts

He probably hits 2 oppo shots to every pull shot. I've never seen somebody so effortlessly pound out 420 foot oppo shots.

Anyway, I think people don't realize just how good Soler is. This guy was putting up 500 OBP as an 18 or 19 year old in the WBC I believe it was. Maybe some other tourney... Anyways his strikezone judgment and contact ability easily trump Bryant. Add to that his tremendous power. He can be the best of the bunch IMO
