The only one from that cut that might be surprising to me is Micah Pellerin. I had heard them speaking well of him in camp and he seemed like somebody that would be a late cut and possibly put on the practice squad. Guys cut this early usually don't end up on the practice squad.

It seems to me that they might be looking at bringing in a veteran corner.

Some notables that are either cuts or expected to be cuts that could be of interest to the Titans

Jay Feely - The 38-year old veteran was cut by the Cardinals. I wouldn't really like this move too much because he would actually be a downgrade from Bironas in terms of accuracy and leg strength. They would have better off just keeping Bironas if they end up signing Feely.

Dustin Hopkins - A 6th round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2013 who ended up getting hurt on put on IR and essentially got replaced and left out of the mix. He left Florida State as the FBS all-time leader in scoring and field goals made. He didn't attempt a kick this preseason but done kickoff work and currently ranks 8th in the league in kickoff range and touchbacks. He went 6-6 last preseason before getting hurt. His career long in college was 56 yards and he went 9-12 from +50 for his career. Has a high trajectory on his kicks and in 112 college attempts never had one blocked. He won the Lou Groza award for Best Kicker as a Junior and Senior. His kicking % went up every year (70%, 78%, 81% and 84%)

The Titans cut Linebacker David Hinds and Wide Receiver Isaiah Williams to get the final number of 75. They also officially placed McCarthy and Ikard on Injured Reserve.

They brought in Jay Feely on Tuesday for a workout.

According to several writers the Titans are looking to add a veteran at cornerback.

Add TE Chase Coffman to the list.

7 more cuts to be made I believe.

Ken Whisenhunt said that guys told today aren't 100% official and there is a small chance it could change by Saturday when they turn in the official list.

Alot of guys that could be practice squad eligible on that list especially with the new rules.

It was mentioned that they could possibly only keep 4 receivers on the active roster. They have Dexter McCluster who can play wideout and will be keeping 3 tight ends as well.

The funniest comment of the day. Ken Whisenhunt saying that he comfortable with keeping either kicker from camp. Yet they have worked out a kicker every day this week and have several more scheduled for workouts this weekend.

So it looks like they gotta cut 7 guys today.

They should be set at QB, RB, TE, CB, S and P as far as cutting people

So you got 1 thats gonna come via a kicker either Coons or Bonani

They have 9 defensive linemen and Whisenhunt traditionally only keeps 7. Especially on this team when they have guys at LB in Morgan and Wimbley who have played DE and could play DE on passing downs. They will probably cut 2 of Klug, Martin, Antonio Johnson and Levar Edwards.

I think that Moise Fokou is probably gonna be out at linebacker. It could be Bailey, Gooden or Williamson but I would be surprised considering those guys are younger, more athletic and still developing. Bailey is also good on special teams.

They got at least 1 cut left at wide receiver possibly 2 because they currently got 6 wide receivers. They won't keep 6 when they got 3 tight ends and McCluster at RB. So 1 maybe 2 of Preston, Hagan or Rico Richardson will get the axe.

They got 10 offensive linemen and that has got to get down to probably 8. So Steve Vallos and William Poehls probably will get cut.

    So you could

    cut 1 kicker
    cut 2 Defensive linemen
    cut 1 wide receiver
    cut 1 linebacker
    cut 2 offensive linemen

and be at 53 (or 2 wide receiver and 1 defensive linemen)

Bonani and Fokou have been cut. For now Coons has won the kicking job but will likely have a short leash. Fokou was apparently battling with Bailey for that last spot and he lost out due to Bailey being solid on special teams.

Bonani & Fokou have been cut. No surprise though. Coons & Bailey won those jobs.

5 more cuts to come? Winston Wright will surely be one of them.

Tough decisions to make regarding Mookie, Martin, Klug & Edwards.

WoW Lavar Edwards traded to Cowboys for 7th round pick. Good job Ruston! Getting a draft pick for a guy that was gonna be a cut.

Definitely a nice job getting something (anything) for a guy we were cutting.

4 cuts to go, still expecting CB Winston Wright to be among those. A hunch tells me NT Mookie Johnson as well.

For now. They might cut somebody else to make room for picking up somebody else that another team dropped.

If this sticks I don't like some of the decisions.
