Sorry for the delay between polls. Been very busy lately...
I no longer care about anything here except for the Entertainment Forum, which sucks; the Music forum, which sucks; and the Magic forum, which does NOT suck.

    Love y'all!

    Except for all of y'all.

    Pippen.

Just curious... when do people think Mikan should go?

Torn between Pippen and Stockton right now.

Did Karl Malone go already? I must have missed that.

Maybe Cousy, but it will be at the lower end of the list. I'm not likely to vote the guy into my top 40.

For a ton of reasons. Mikan played only six and a half seasons, and six of those years were played in a league without a shot clock. The league had hardly any black players back then, and he never had to face guys like Russell or Wilt like Pettit did. Plus, despite playing in only 439 total games, his peak was really only the first three seasons of his career. And he was a career 40.4% shooter. Russell came only 7-8 years later and he was criticized for his offensive play, yet he was a career 44% shooter.

Also, a year or two ago, someone found some old footage of a 50s basketball game when we were doing one of the all-time re-drafts and I watched some footage of Mikan. It was rough to say the least. There are probably more skilled high school players playing right now than that guy.

Baylor is the best player left, gives us about 6 superstar seasons and a few All-Star/All-NBA seasons sprinkled in.

Yes Malone has gone already. I still can't understand the love for Pippen here. No way he should go ahead of Stockton.

Not a particularly large Elgin Baylor fan here but not sure why he isn't getting more love.

lol yes he should. Pippen was way more valuable than Stockton. I don't see any way Stockton could have ever led a team to 55 wins being the best player on the team.
