It might be time to take serious notice of Matthew Bowman. 7 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 9 K last night in Vegas.

5 Starts (3 at home) and his AAA numbers now read: 31 IP, 6 ER, 1 HR, 5 BB, 26 K. 1.74 ERA, 1.00 WHIP.
Omar Minaya in 9 Expos/Mets Drafts - 84.6 WAR (Avg 9.4 per class)
Sandy Alderson in 4 Padres Drafts - 87.1 WAR (Avg 21.8 per class)

    -

Terry Collins has destroyed 3 clubhouses on 2 different continents and is now working on #4. Quite possibly the worst manager in Major League History.

Put this idiot into a cannon and fire him into the East River.

    Whoa, just noticed this:

Franklin Correa apparently was promoted to GCL Mets from the Dominican Summer League this week and made his debut last night (0 for 3 with a walk). He played at SS last night, but he has been almost entirely at 2B in the DSL. He was signed in the Amed Rosario IFA class of 2012. His signing bonus was $155,000, 4th highest in that class (Rosario got $1.75m, Marcos Molina got $100k).

18 years old (January). He was batting .260/.384/.407 in the DSL. 4 HRs (17 XBH), 34 BB, 41 K in 177 ABs. That was a huge improvement over his 17 year old campaign in the DSL (.250/.299/.276, 0 HR, 18 BB, 63 K) in 2013.

Maybe it's his time to take a day off.

    *cough*

    Roster filler.

Probably, but both are young enough to avoid the organization tag yet.

Doesn't take away what Oberste is doing this year.

Plus he was 120th prospect in 2013 draft.

    99. Matt Oberste, 1B Oklahoma 10/18/1991 H:6’2″ W:210 – Oberste would be higher on this list if we thought he could handle the OF, but he looks like he will be relegated to 1B. He’s a R/R so he’s going to need to really hit to make it. He has the bat, but his power is just average.

Our Instinct: He doesn’t project as a true power hitting 1B, but could be enough of a hitter to carve out a nice career. He’s one of the nation’s leaders in BA in College ball and projects to hit 15-20 HR annually. Not bad. If he can play the OF, even better.

ya know how Pinocchio's nose grew every time he told a lie?

I'm experiencing a similar effect every time I see Dilson with a 3+ hit game
The Michigan team bus was stuck outside Notre Dame stadium for hours after somebody painted a 20 yard line in the parking lot

Brooklyn is playing on SNY if anyone is interested. Sadly, Rosario is not playing.

I don't have DVR so I'll have to watch.

It seems that Pedro Perez has given up switch-hitting. He's batting only right-handed now.

Conforto runs into Mora on a routine FB lol.

He's popped the ball up in his first two AB.
