    Derozan on Team USA

Has he made it/will he make it ??

What would it mean to Derozan's game and growth to go through the experience? Is there another level Dero's game could reach too? How do you think it would impact his career and game overall?

I'd love for him to be on the team. Dont see how it wouldn't help him improve and continue to grow his confidence. He's not an injury prone guy so I'm not worried about him getting hurt. Hes as close to an iron man as it gets

If it was Lowry I'd be concerned

He should and probably will make it. If he actually makes the team he probably won't be getting many minutes so we don't have to worry about wear and tear really. Also I think he won't play as many minutes this season.

Hopefully he does make it. If Derozan had a decent 3pt shot around 36 % + I'd see him making it easily. If he was a good defender it would've helped too, but just like a lot of weaknesses that Derozan's game had, I hope he can get better and prove me wrong. He's already become a solid playmaker and better rebounder, so hopefully he does get the opportunity to play for USA and become better on those weaknesses that I mentioned.

even if he doesnt get the minutes... just practising with the caliber of those type of players on that U.S team would help his game imo. His confidence would be sky high starting out the season as well.

I remember, in the season after Bosh played with the U.S team there was a noticable difference in his confidence and leadership.

Good point. Never thought of that.

Both of our players who have played for Team USA came back strong the season after. Vince had a good year after playing on the team. Can't remember which year. Ah brings back memories of him jumping over that guy. Man who was that anyways?

Been out of the country for 5 weeks. Did DD make the final roster?

    Welcome back!

The roster hasn't been finalized... but most spots seem to be taken. From what I've read, the last backup spot is going to be filled by either Lillard and Derozan.
