Going miss this series. Four day W/E.

Heading up with two friends to Traverse City, MI for some downhill mountain biking. Will try to catch Farmer and Jackson on my phone with the MLB At Bat App if laying around at the Econo Lodge doing nothing.

Yes The Econo lodge. We are cheap! One Bears and two Packers fans looking for Lions fans to tease.

He is actually, having a very good season. His defense isnt that good but his bat is. Maybe Conor can learn 2B or LF.

I agree, if he can consistently slash .300/.360/.440 then he is a more than adequate starter. I see him more as a .280/.340/.440 type which while still good when combined with mediocre defense is just a borderline starter.

We have way too many 2B's in our system now, I'd like to see Wilkins get a shot as DH, reserve 1B next year. ............LF might be nice but most likely he will be our guy at 3B until Davidson is ready...or even traded in a package for a decent starter.

Yeah I'm interested to see if Wilkins gets a shot next year at that spot. There's a chance they don't feel comfortable with him there and want a veteran to mix with Abreu. To me that guy should be Adam LaRoche. He is older but is a guy who will come in and give you 25 HR, 25 2B, and a .360ish OBP along with solid defense to mix with Abreu.

I'm only going with this if they want a cheaper, veteran option over the youngster in Wilkins.

No reason not to give Wilkins a few AB's this September, as DH/LF/1B next year Im sure we could find room for him if he can give us some solid power and OBP.

Oh yeah he should get a few. I did a quick write up on what I think should be in the trade thread. Let me know what you think.
