    Los Angeles Dodgers (67-52) @ Atlanta Braves (60-57) 8/11-8/14

    @

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Atlanta Braves

    Monday, 8/11 7:10 PM

    Kevin Correia, RHP (5-13, 4.94 ERA/4.35 FIP/4.85 xFIP)vs Julio Teheran, RHP (10-8, 2.92 ERA/3.49 FIP/3.56 xFIP)

Correia will be activated to make this start after his acquisition late Saturday night. While the club hopes for a quality start, he's being used mostly to give the rest of the rotation extra rest.

Teheran will be happy to return home after yet another rough road outing during which he gave up six earned runs in six frames against the Mariners. He is 6-7 with a 4.27 ERA on the road compared to 4-1 with a 1.48 ERA at home.

    Tuesday, 8/12 7:10 PM

    Dan Haren, RHP (9-9, 4.57 ERA/4.46 FIP/3.76 xFIP)vs Mike Minor, LHP (4-7, 5.42 ERA/4.69 FIP/3.75 xFIP)

Haren snapped a five-game losing streak with a gem against the Angels, allowing one run in 7 1/3 innings and giving the club hope that he's found the right tweak to his mechanics

After his last turn in the rotation was skipped, Minor hopes to get back on track in a tough year. He has given up eight or more hits in five of his past six outings and has seen his ERA jump a full run in his past eight starts.

    Wednesday, 8/13 7:10 PM

    Hyun-Jin Ryu, LHP (13-5, 3.21 ERA/2.79 FIP/3.19 xFIP)vs Ervin Santana, RHP (11-6, 3.69 ERA/3.22 FIP/3.38 xFIP)

Ryu completely defused the potent Angels lineup with a two-hitter over seven innings. And for this start he gets his preferred fifth day of rest.

Santana proved efficient in the early going Friday, holding the Nationals hitless on 32 pitches through three innings before unraveling in a four-run sixth. His leads all Atlanta starters with 11 wins.
    Thursday, 8/14 12:10 PM

    Roberto Hernandez, RHP (6-8, 3.83 ERA/4.46 FIP/4.50 xFIP)vs Aaron Harang, RHP (9-6, 3.31 ERA/3.65 FIP/4.23 xFIP)

This will be Hernandez's second Dodgers start after a quality debut in Milwaukee. The club hopes he can be this year's Ricky Nolasco-like acquisition.

Harang notched his 18th start of allowing two earned runs or fewer when an Adam LaRoche solo shot was his lone blemish in seven strong innings against the Nationals on Saturday. It was his fifth straight no-decision.

How you avoid both Kershaw and Greinke in a 4 game series is pure luck. How about we take advantage of that? The only really good pitcher they have going out there is Ryu (a little disheartening how their 3rd best pitcher has a sub 3 FIP..easily could the #1 pitcher on any other staff). Everyone else is pretty ****in hittable.

Come the **** on offense..you're not going to get a better shot to face hittable Dodger starting pitching than this.

With that said, our starters have to make sure they don't lose their games in the first couple of innings. Dodgers have a good offense, our offense...not so much. Can't be playing catch up right off the bat.

Protect your homefield Bravos. Don't let those punk *** Dodgers run havoc. If they don't like Harper, they are going to hate the circus that is Puig.

And in other news, J-hey sports a .809 OPS with a .361 wOBA and 132 wRC+ hitting 5th this year. Very nice...that definitely goes under the radar with the colossal crap of the offense.

Pretty much as good as it's going to look. Come on Boni, make some noise at lead-off so we don't have to see B.J play anymore when Simba comes back.

Best lineup we can put out there with Simba out. We need to take advantage of Correia being out!

Quick Hits: Upton, Martin, Giants, Astros
By Mark Polishuk [August 11, 2014 at 12:55pm CDT]
FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal reported over the weekend that the Braves explored a trade prior to the deadline that would’ve sent B.J. Upton and a starting pitcher elsewhere. David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (Twitter link) has another detail on this scuttled trade, saying that the Braves would’ve taken on “a contract [the] other team [was] looking to shed.” It sounds like it would’ve essentially been a swap of one bad contract (the roughly $50MM owed to Upton through 2017) for another, though if Atlanta was willing to move a starter as well, the other contract was likely for a shorter term. It’ll be interesting to see if the identities of the mystery team and mystery player are revealed in the coming weeks or months but until then, let the guessing game begin!

Who gonna take the BJ contract?

How is BJ Upton in the lineup tonight after just calling his manager a blankety blank last night?

Our division sucks. We can beat the Nats but owned by everyone else. 0-9 against everybody but the Nats in last 12 games. 2-1 against the Nats in that same time. This team reflects its manager. All these little league errors and pitiful hitting and all Freddi does is smile and clap. **** that, bust somebodies balls. These guys are professionals and make lots of money. They need a manager that holds them accountable. That and get rid of a few guys. Its very hard to watch this team. Correia has half as many hits as our whole team. Not to mention our ace loses to a 5-13 pitcher.

Can't even score more than 1 run off a terrible pitcher in Correria. It's hard to be legitimately surprised when this has happened numerous times throughout the season. It's who we are now. Nobody takes this team seriously...they only show up against the Nats. Everyone else they are just flat out mediocre.

I'd be more surprised if we can manage to split this series than if we get swept.

Teheran was really unlucky last night, a bunch of soft singles that just past the infield, two key plays where our defense couldn't make the play and most importantly this offense score 1 run against Kevin ****ing Correia, we are getting one good hit a game with runners in scoring position and that's all, you can't win with that kind of production.
