    Secondary

Not looking good at all right now... We need our luck to change or for Rex to come up with some genius cover schemes... Otherwise we're going to get lit up through the air this year.

Is there anything more frustrating than watching an offense throw where ever they want?

Jets reach out to free agent Asante Samuel
The Jets reached out to free agent CB Asante Samuel after Dee Milliner and Dexter McDougle's injuries, but are "unlikely to sign him."
FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports the Jets are trying to "bargain shop," but Samuel wasn't having it. Samuel must be quite willing to retire because he hasn't had any other known nibbles since the Falcons cut him last February. He would be a candidate to start Week 1 in the injury-riddled Jets secondary.

See this is what I don't like; if you want Asante Samuel, or whomever, spend the money on a 1 year deal and get the deal done. I could see Idzik trying to "bargain shop" if we were up near the cap, but we have over 20 million in cap space. If it takes 3 or 4 million for 1 year to get Samuel to NY to fill the void in this rough time, do it!

Maybe we are trying to get that roll over cap space for next year.

I thought with the personnel they had going in, they would be middle of the pack in Pass Defense. Maybe 13th-16th in the league. It would have made them beatable, but competitive.

Now I think it's fair to expect them in the bottom 5.

Why run on a great Jets defensive line? Teams will throw all day. It's going to be frustrating as hell.

There will be a ton of dink and dunks.

I'd give Nnamdi Asomugha a try as well. Rex deserves a pass this year if our Defense doesn't hold up, with all our cap space our GM refuses to get his HC a top CB for his system that's based off of solid CB play.

Id actually even take a shot on Terrell Thomas...see if he's healthy...or we have to make a trade....Kyle Wilson, darrin walls and patterson would be brutal
