    Phillies interested in Bogaerts

@pgammo Phillies have Charlie Kerfeld bearing down on Xander Bogaerts. Don't think he'd be traded, but...

They would have to give a **** load.

So are 29 other teams. They have nothing even close to worth Xander.

eh they could offer a decent enough deal, but I doubt they would.

Hamels + Franco + Crawford would get them in the door, but I assume franco is untouchable
    Lester to the Cubs??

Well if he was placed in waivers he'd get claimed long before he hit the NL no matter what.

Also Franco is far from untouchable. Nothing the phillies offer would be enough. Franco is turning it around but has poor mechanics, Crawford's a very good spec but has offensive question marks, and you can get a guy like Hamels elsewhere without giving up Bogaerts.

He's slumping hard now, but talent like Bogaerts doesn't come around often enough to give him up. If we were hopelessly out of contention for the foreseeable 6+ years and he wasn't going to sign an extension then i would consider moving him, but we aren't a team like the Rockies so that's not happening.

Bogaerts is an amazing player, we should not even think of ever trading him.
With the deepest of regrets I am announcing that I will be leaving Pro Sports Daily. No reason in particular but wanted to thank everyone for a great 6 years here. Lots of great discussion and good poll series as well. Also fun re-drafts. Best of luck to you all in the future.

Do people really think XB is untouchable? Pink hats need to get their heads out of their rears. XB is having a tough year and has drawn one walk in his last 20 games roughly. His confidence is shot.

He's only 21 flippin years old, and did you see the numbers he put up last postseason under the highest pressure he'll ever face in the Major Leagues?

What were you doing when you were 21? The kid is going to be a superstar, mark my words.

Yeah let's give up on a guy who is so age advanced that he's starting in the big leagues at an age that he should be at AA. While you're at it, call the Nats and tell them to demote Harper as well because clearly young players don't struggle they are just awesome all the time.

Seeing the potential in Bogaerts doesn't make you a pink hat, it's an obvious fact. A 21 year old player looking overwhelmed and losing confidence is far from an irregularity.

I never said give up but he is far from untouchable.

Plus Bryce Harper has actually produce for more then a month stretch in his career so thanks for the terrible example.
