I dont like it... Getting rid of Tyler and a pick for what?

Why couldn't they just cut Ellington?

Tyler could've been the center of the future.

This is the first move by Phil that I disapprove

I don't get it... Tyler was serviceable, and would've been useful for when Amar'e falls apart

What's the point I thought we were trying to get a roster spot open

As part of the deal, the Knicks agreed to remove the protection (picks 31-37) on the 2016 second-round draft pick they sent to Sacramento in 2013.

The Kings are expected to waive Tyler and could use the stretch provision on Ellington, who is owed $2.77 million next season, to improve their salary cap situation. But that final decision has not been made

A bit of a head scratcher, Tyler showed me nothing, I don't think he was going to make the team, but giving up a future 2nd? Why?

Outlaw doesn't look like he belongs in the league anymore. Did we really want another SF that badly?

Acy... TOR fans seemed to like him last year, maybe PJ sees something in him? He's only 23.

This doesn't clear any roster spots though, just unclogs the SG position a bit... but then ELllington didn't figure to get playing time anyway.

    I'm a bit stumped.

The 2nd rounder already belonged to the Kings

ahh ok, so at least it's a pick SAC already had from us...

    strange trade though.

If we wanted another SF that bad I would rather have bought in someone like Cassipi.

i know, but it would make even less sense if we cut him...lol.

He's only 23, doesn't hurt to take a look at him.

Unless Dolan really just wanted to save some money here.

I don't think either guy was going to make the team and if all we did was remove protection on a second round pick we had already traded I do to see the big deal.

    Unless I'm misinterpreting something
