Omar Minaya in 9 Expos/Mets Drafts - 84.6 WAR (Avg 9.4 per class)
Sandy Alderson in 4 Padres Drafts - 87.1 WAR (Avg 21.8 per class)

Terry Collins has destroyed 3 clubhouses on 2 different continents and is now working on #4. Quite possibly the worst manager in Major League History.

Put this idiot into a cannon and fire him into the East River.

I'm so pissed. I was happy that Abreu got canned, but then they ****ing call up Kirk again.

den Dekker hits .386/.469/.634(1.103 OPS) since being sent down in 178 PA and he gets ignored. WTF

    den Dekker = Classic AAAA.
Kirk is a useful 90-95 wRC+ 4th outfielder with decent defense.

Just my opinion based on what I've seen.

Kirk hit .000/.214 with 7 SO in 14 PA after the AS break and hit .226/.324/.355 after being sent down.

The only reason he's up here is because it's his last option year. That's the only reason I can come up with. He has vastly underperformed in comparison to den Dekker over the last two years.

He just had a lucky hot streak for a few games...den Dekker is more likely to contribute to future Mets teams than Kirk is. We have 489 PA to know that Kirk isn't more than a bench guy.

U can't label him that yet. He hasn't had enough time to prove anything one at or the other.

Wow.. 14 PAs? You convinced me. I'm on DD bandwagon now.

    den Dekker - 112 PAs, wRC+ 43
    Nieuwenhuis - 489 PAs, wRC+ 94

Until den Dekker does something, you aren't changing my opinion. He's looked absolutely clueless at the plate so far. He'll get his chance in September to change my opinion. I'm like Missouri, "The Show Me State".

Neither are starting quality outfielders for us, so it's not worth getting into a huff about. If I'm picking a 4th/5th bench OF for next year, I'm taking Kirk.

The more Kirk plays, the more he gets exposed.

He got a chance to be the LF after the AS break and he looked ridiculously lost.

He's hit .257/.334/.490 in Vegas over the last two seasons while den Dekker has hit .310/.377/.488.

Yeah Kirk has more power, but den Dekker is a better hitter who strikes out less and plays better defense.

I'm tired of the same faces getting chance after chance. Bring up the new blood we've all been hearing about.

That's a lame argument. You can't say anybody is exposed after 14 PAs.. You're better than that. The first 1000 PAs of a professional baseball player are adjustments. When Kirk came up two years ago he hit, teams adjusted, he re-adjusted, blah blah blah.. Over 489 PAs of adjusting and re-adjusting, he's at a +wRC of 94. den Dekker has done **** in his chances. He's never had a drop of success for pitchers to even adjust to. Citing 14 PAs as your evidence that Kirk has been figured out shows how shallow you will go to win one of these arguments.

This is not true and the facts at the major league level do not support this statement.
