Anaheim Angels (66-44) @ Los Angeles Dodgers (63-49)

    ...................................

Anaheim Angels (66-44) @ Los Angeles Dodgers (63-49)

    Dodger Stadium

Game 1. Monday, 7:10PM. Sports Net LA.

    Zack Greinke

    139 IP | 2.65 ERA | 2.82 FIP | .322 BABIP

If he wasn't in the shadow of Clayton Kershaw, Greinke would be mentioned among Cy Young candidates. He only struck out 13 Braves in his last start.
    vs.

    Garrett Richards

    144 IP | 2.74 ERA | 2.71 FIP | .261 BABIP

Richards is coming off giving up four earned runs in back-to-back starts for the first time since April 25-30, 2013. On Wednesday, the 26-year-old was burned by a two-run homer from Adam Jones but he still went seven innings and walked none.

Game 2. Tuesday, 7:10PM. Sports Net LA.

    Clayton Kershaw

    121 IP | 1.71 ERA | 1.71 FIP | .279 BABIP

A 1.71 ERA. Seriously? If he isn't the favorite for a third Cy Young Award, Don Mattingly should issue a manager's challenge.
    vs.

    Hector Santiago

    79 IP | 3.76 ERA | 3.91 FIP | .276 BABIP

Santiago will start in Tyler Skaggs' spot, as Skaggs is on the 15-day disabled list with a strained flexor tendon in his left forearm. Santiago last pitched out of the 'pen in the Angels' 13-inning win over the Orioles, when he picked up the win.

Hoping for 3/4 in the total series, but a split would be acceptable

    Get Perez out of here!

Should be a good series. My prediction.

Game 1 - Toss up game. Dodgers end up winning a close one.
Game 2 - Kershaw and Dodgers win easily
Game 3 - Haren blows monkey balls. Angels win.
Game 4 - Wilson Blows monkey balls. Dodgers win.

    Los Angeles Dodgers @Dodgers 23m
The Dodgers placed RHP Chris Perez on 15-day DL (bone spurs, right ankle) and selected contract of RHP Carlos Frias from AAA Albuquerque.
    Los Angeles Dodgers @Dodgers 22m
To create room on the 40-man roster for Carlos Frias, the Dodgers transferred LHP Paul Maholm (right ACL tear) to the 60-day disabled list.
I'm not sure what role Frias is going to fill, since he's a starter at Albuquerque, could be a corresponding move to this coming Wednesday, interesting......
