Emery would be interested in bringing Orton back to Chicago.

"I have great respect for Kyle,” Emery said on ESPN Radio. “When I was in Kansas City, we brought him in. That’s the famous claim the Bears figured they would get [in 2011]. We claimed him. He came in. He started against the Bears; got hurt first or second play. At the time in Kansas City, we won the game. The next week, he starts against Green Bay, an undefeated Green Bay team [which] had the longest winning streak in football at that point. [He] beat them; beat them in Kansas City. Great leadership skills, guys really like playing for him, big arm. So the skill set is there. But as far as where he’s going in his career… that we don’t know.”

Orton's a fine backup QB, but hasn't Clausen been doing well in camp?

I'm not all that concerned with who our backup is anyway since Trestman clearly knows how to tailor an offense around just about anyone.

Claussen is 3rd on the depth chart right now

I thought there were reports of him doing well early on?

Either way, not a big deal. He or Palmer are fine as backups.

This can't be good for Palmer and/or Clausen stay in Chicago.

With that said, the mere thought of Neckbeard, Cutler and Brandon Marshall on the same Bears team, is downright hilarious.

Never been a fan of either Palmer or Clausen, so if the Bears want to bring Orton back to Chicago at the expense of those two, is cool with me. I would be fine with Cutler/Orton/Fales as the QBs.

I'd love for Orton to come back, he has way more experience and talent than both clausen and palmer combined IMO. With as many freak injuries Cutler has had in Chicago, I'd be a lot more comfortable with neckbeard as the backup.

I would be happy to have Orton back hes only 31 I think.
    He may be done though.
    2009 3800 yards 21 tds and 12 ints
2010 3700 yards 20 tds and 9 ints benched for Tim Tebow?!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Back up that's bounced around since.

Just for old times sake. I must bring back the argument, the heated debate.
    The million threads topic!

    Kyle Orton > Rex Grossman
