    Cardinals (57-50) vs Brewers (60-49) Aug 1-3

Milwaukee Brewers @ St. Louis Cardinals
Friday, August 1, 7:15 PM CDT , Busch Stadium

    Wily Peralta, RHP

Since allowing nine Phillies runs on July 8, Peralta has been solid, holding opponents to a .174 average and posting a 1.37 ERA over his last three starts. The streak started with seven good innings against St. Louis.
    Adam Wainwright, RHP

Wainwright won his third 1-0 decision of the season on Sunday to become the National League's first 13-game winner. He has held an opponent scoreless in 10 of his 21 starts and pitched at least seven innings in 17 of them.
Saturday, August 2, 6:15 PM CDT , Busch Stadium

    Jimmy Nelson, RHP

Nelson has been pitching out of the Brewers' rotation since July 9, when he allowed eight runs (six earned) in 4 2/3 innings vs. the Cards. "It's very frustrating. That's all on me," Nelson said after that game.
    Justin Masterson, RHP

The Cardinals acquired Masterson from the Indians in a July 30 trade and will throw him right into the rotation as they once again need a fifth starter. Masterson just wrapped up a two-start rehab assignment after dealing with right knee discomfort.
Sunday, August 3, 1:15 PM CDT , Busch Stadium

    Kyle Lohse, RHP

Lohse has had some battles against his former team, evidenced by a 3-5 record and 4.04 ERA against the Cardinals in 10 starts. They've batted .302 against him, tied for fourth highest of any opponent.
    Lance Lynn, RHP

Lynn's ERA is below 3.00 for the second time in 2014 after he went six-plus innings with no more than two runs allowed in five July starts. He hasn't finished seven innings since June 23 but continues to prove himself as top-of-the-rotation ready.

    Cardinals (57-50) vs Brewers (60-49) Aug 1-3

John Lackey will make his Cardinals' debut on Sunday versus the Brewers.
That means he won't have to face the Red Sox next week. The Cardinals will push Lance Lynn back a couple days to face Boston on Tuesday.

That doesn't change one thing about Wainwright giving up 7 runs and one hitter wasn't going to generate enough offense to score 8

If your ace gets roughed up like that your nights over before you ever had a chance

And the offense still continues to struggle.. My point had nothing to do with Waino's performance..

You make the point after we are down 6 nothing, indicating it makes a difference in this game either way. If you're just making a random point then fine I apologize

The reality is though there was really nothing on the market to be had

It was a random point because we can't score runs on a consistent basis.. Sorry I didn't know there was a protocol for posting in the game thread..

There's obviously no protocol, smart ***

But when you post something as we've given up 6 runs. Literally right after we've given them up. It sounds an awful lot like trying to connect those dots as to why we are losing

Maybe you shouldn't be so concerned with what I post.. I didn't Quote you nor did I reference you when I posted that.. I just merely made a statement about how we needed to have gotten another hitter.. I'm sorry if what I said upset you skippy..

He was totally out at second, and I don't like that balk call.

I'm not "concerned" or "upset" at all about your post

My entire point is people are always complaining about the offense and as bad as the offense has been it's not the only issue we've had. We've also had issues with getting innings from starters, Rosenthal has been inconsistent at the end of the game, Molina is hurt and before Craig was traded we had the worst right fielder in the league and the worst ****ing manager in the game continued playing him day after day after day

If you feel like I snapped at you I apologize for that, that wasn't my intention. I have nothing against you or your post. It just seemed connected and made no sense to me pointing we needed another bat right after going down 7-0

If you say they aren't connected, fine I have no reason not to believe you

I'm not convinced Parra shouldn't have been rung up down 1-2. Umpire doesn't call it. Draws walk. Boom down a run
