    Tigers Acquire Joakim Soria

Saw a retweet from Pat Caputo on this. I don't know how to embed a tweet here, so cant post it. But he said Knebel and Jake Thompson went to Texas. Seems like a lot to me

Per a source, #Tigers set to acquire #Rangers right handed closer Joakim Soria. Corey Knebel & Jake Thompson head to Texas in the deal.

The only thing that concerns me is that no other big named baseball writer has picked this up yet. If this were in the works/done you'd think someone else would mention it by now. (Maybe I'm missing something or something is being tweeted as I type this )

That would be steep for Soria.

I have no idea how reliable this newspaper is but some people in Texas is running the story as if it happened:

Well then, assuming the pass the physicals, it looks like we got our big BP arm. I know Thompson was supposedly really making his way up the ladder in the system but I don't know much else about him. Hopefully we can get some needed help from Soria. He and Joba could really lock down the final two innings (3 if Blow Nathan ever gets it back on track).

I like it, gotta give to get. Team option next year is only $7M so if he works out it's an easy call. I like Thompson and all (not sure what to make of Knebel), but you can't acquire guys for free

Tigers' trade for Joakim Soria will be finalized once physical exams are completed, source says. Players are agreed upon.

Still haven't figured out how to post tweets.....

Same here Guy. Knebel not concerned about but Thompson to me was the goods. If Soria works out this year and next then so be it I guess.

Soria is having a great year and from you guys it seems like we have up a good amount. Ehh, I don't really care. I want to win the WS this year. Maybe this can help put us over the top.

For the record: I don't think Soria is taking the closer in job... Nathan hasn't lost it quite yet I think.
