Official signing of our future center/PF

The Los Angeles Lakers have signed free agent forward Ed Davis, it was announced today by General Manager Mitch Kupchak. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released. “Ed is a versatile, young frontcourt player who, if he continues to work hard, will be a valuable contributor,” said Kupchak. “We look forward to him furthering his development with the Lakers and are excited by what we think he can offer our team.” NBA.com

He's a beast. And to think we could've wasted money on a mehlo or Lebron

    ^^HA!

I watched his "highlights" on youtube....Not once did this guy shoot the ball, or post up. Everything was alley oops and put backs. Definitely offensively challenged. Hopefully his length will make him a good defender. He'll be buried behind Sacre.

Noah has kind of the same problem.but what makes him good is that he is a pesky defender. Davis has more of the offensive potential and is also a though guy. No risk, but a lot to win!

This is one has signs of being the guy who everyone questioned then ends up being a fan favorite.

nice signing but pretty much a one year deal

if he does well he will leave because he won't get a market rate multi year deal from the Lakers

if he plays poorly he won't be resigned....

2nd year is player option, right? If he plays poorly were stuck with him another year.

How is Mitch taller than him? Does Mitch wear heels?

No really. I think he will be good for us. I mentioned him early on but thought the Clippers would snatch him. Glad he will be in P&G. I think he backs up Hill at Center.
