Kings talking with Omri Casspi -- UPDATE: KINGS SIGN OMRI CASSPI FOR VET MINIMUM

“My agent (Dan Fegan) is talking with a number of teams,” he said, “and the Kings are one of them. Couldn’t they use a stretch forward who can hit a three and loves to run? I think I could help, and it would be fun to play with Rudy (Gay), DeMarcus (Cousins), J.T. I still have a lot of friends there. I would love to come back and fulfill my path. But now I have to concentrate on the national team, and maybe, I can get some of this pressure off my chest.”

i understand the kings aren't in a position to land big FA's, but this isn't the guy i'd really like to see back.

Wouldn't be a bad fit. A small lineup of DC, Stauskas, Casspi, Gay, and Boogie would be fun to watch

I wouldn't mind having Omri Casspi back. He's capable of giving decent minutes off the bench. It looks like the Kings are serious about bringing in some perimeter help. Casspi plays hard and he's a veteran presence off the bench. It definitely wouldn't hurt the Kings.

I don't have an issue with Casspi. We don't really have a backup SF other than playing McLemore there and Travis Outlaw. Plus I think Casspi played pretty well off the bench last year (though I don't think he necessarily excels at any one thing). I don't really want to get rid of Acy though. Hopefully we make a trade that frees up some space, improves the roster, and gives us some flexibility if we want to sign someone like Casspi.

Remember, he was only angry with the team after Westfail stopped playing him, and that was all under the maloofs. I'd ve okay with it

I would take Casspi. He wants to be in Sac, he's low risk (I'm guessing he would get a small contract), and he's probably an improvement over Outlaw.

It's all good. I was just surprised when I posted and immediately there were new posts lol. I think we're all just hungry for more news with the team and anxious for the season.

Hopefully we are talking to him in preparation of filling the roster post trade. If we trade away a few if our players we'd have a couple of open roster spots. Casspi could help- but I really don't like the idea of losing acy- or even Moreland and brooks for that matter- just so we can sign casspi. I will say, however, that casspi would help our team instantly.

I say sign him, there aren't too many players who are looking to return to Sacramento after their first stint.
