The Glass Man Goes on the DL Again

Rockies Troy Tulowitzki's body breaks down yet again. What a shame and waste.

Glass man that still puts up 5 WAR every single year other than those he missed significant time.
You have no idea how excited I am right now.

Of course that thin air of Coors field has nothing to do with that.

I don't believe I made that statement, did I? But WAR uses park adjusted numbers, so he doesn't get blindly handed credit for everything.

    It's like Utley

Utley had what, 3 or 4 seasons where he missed 30+ games and was still top 3 in WAR?

might sound stupid since he is such a outstanding SS, but any chance they move him to 1st in the near future to prolong his health and keep his bat in the lineup longer? I mean you have to figure SS is one of the most rigorous positions in baseball constantly sprinting in every direction possible and then throwing your body against the dirt. Plus he has the height and im sure flexibility to make a damn good 1B.... thoughts?

If you move him off SS then it's to 2nd or 3rd, no point in wasting his glove at 1st.

If He moved to 3rd it'd surely prolong his career.

He always seems like he is a good bet to miss at least 20 games a season. He's elite though even with his injuries.

No it would actually shorten his career. 3rd base has the second fastest regression rate behind catcher. The thing is he is so valuable defensively and offensively at SS (with positional adjustments as well) that it will be hard for the Rockies to move him off the position but his offense would carry him anywhere.
