CC will have surgery. His season is over. Yanks are hopeful he can return next spring.
Erik Boland (@ eboland11) tweeted at 5:02 PM on Fri, Jul 18, 2014:

Cashman: Sabathia to undergo season-ending surgery on right knee July 23. Not the micro fracture surgery, but a "cleanup" procedure

    Oh, Nevermind.

David Waldstein (@ DavidWaldstein) tweeted at 5:06 PM on Fri, Jul 18, 2014:

W/ a degenerative knee problem it requires regular debridement procedures. He could eventually get microfracture, but no guarantees w/ that.
    Just retire.

What a Thumper said. We're stuck with him for a couple more years.

Maybe the Yankees can buy him out and he retires. I'm sure their are options. He may never be able to pitch again.

Sad how fast he's fallen. He was great in cleveland, his short stint in beerville, and his first few years w us.

It happens when you hit 32 with a couple thousand innings on your body?

If faced with sucking or retiring why not get a full knee replacement? He will need one eventually anyway.

HE will not return from Micro-fracture surgery. YOu heard it here 14th

CC- "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up... and I really want a cheeseburger... and a milkshake with a donut. I just have to lay here on my million dollar floor, with my remote control, that controls all electronics including climate control. But my phone is out of reach so I can't order the cheeseburger... HELP!!! I've fallen and I can't get up!"

I expect it to happen. Gut feeling. Take on his salary and we shouldn't have to send back much in terms of kids
