We didn't have any use for him and no point on wasting a roster spot on him, here's the end to Uggla in a Braves jersey, we still have to pay him a lot of money, this is along side Lowe and BJ one of the worst contract given by Wren.

I saw this coming a long time ago and I am happy to see it finally come. Yes the Braves still have to pay him but he is doing the same thing away from the Braves as he would be if he was still sitting on the bench and that is absolutely nothing.

NL East Notes: Mets, Braves, Uggla, Lee, Marlins
By Charlie Wilmoth [July 19, 2014 at 9:56am CDT]

The Braves arenít actively trying to upgrade their starting rotation right now, FOX Sportsí Jon Morosi tweets. That means they probably wonít pursue Rays ace David Price.
The Braves are desperate to rid themselves of outfielder B.J. Upton, a GM tells Peter Gammons (via Twitter). Upton has hit .215/.277/.343 in 388 plate appearances this season, and the Braves still owe him over $50MM through 2017.
The Braves will continue to pay recently released infielder Dan Uggla through 2019, FOX Sportsí Ken Rosenthal notes (via Twitter). Uggla has a deferred signing bonus that means heíll be paid $250K per year between 2016 and 2019. Of course, they also owe him $13MM in 2015.

As long as Justin is here I doubt it, and BJ at least is a plus defender in center while Uggla gave you nothing if he didn't hit a HR. He also has more than 47M left on his deal over 3 seasons once this season is over. Not going anywhere.

Should of left Uggla go awhile ago, was zero reason to keep him on the bench. I know they where trying to trade him but come on that doesn't take a month.

Free agents lose their talent in Atlanta.

Seems we have bad luck in that. FW has gotten some good talent from other teams to only see that guy forget how to play...

Dan Uggla. Nate McLouth. Alex Gonzalez somewhat. Even Michael Bourn somewhat

Free agents too but not as bad, BJ and Lowe are the only ones come to mind.
