Whereever Smoove goes he needs to be paired with a C who has a good jumper.

I thought the new management is high on analytics and advanced stats. You don't even need those to define Josh Smith. Josh Smith!

The only thing good about this if it push through is if the Kings get Rondo next. And even so, the personalities on the squad will result to an epic implosion after 10 games.

From a Kings fan's point of view:

I don't like Josh Smith. He's a decent player but he does not help you win a championship.

Does he make us better right now? Yes. But there is absolutely a ceiling to how good the Kings can be with him, and it's not that high. If we do only have to give up Thompson and Williams or Terry then thats fine. If Stauskas or McLemore go, I'll be furious.

At this point, with the salary and performance that Josh Smith has, Detroit should be looking for a dump (as in dumping the contract).

Of course, they might find a sucker to actually give them some value back.

Just think of the Bargniani trade by Toronto. He was supposed to just be a salary dump and THEM giving something also to sweeten the spot, but they found NY and made them give a 1st rounder lol.

So yeah, Sactown should practically get Smith for free. If they end up paying anything of value for him, its cause they weren't thinking straight.

I think Josh Smith just needs to be used on defense and off the ball on offense. The dude cannot be counted upon to be used offensively.

Agreed. I'm willing to take Williams/Terry and just smile.

I'll even drive the 4 hours to Detroit and hold the doors open for him on his way out.

I really hope that's the case, especially after Terry publicly talks trash on thee Kings as if he's stuck with them since forever. Trade him to another non-contender!

Rumor has it that Terry would prefer to be waived by the new team so he can rejoin the Mavericks. Not sure if the Mavericks are interested, as Terry's effectiveness today pales in comparison to his championship year. Who knows if Williams will ever be good. I'd say trading them for J-Smoove is pretty close to getting J-Smoove for free.

Josh Smith is a hell of a basketball player that does what he sucks at. Shooting

They look like they are trying to build the 2013 Detroit Pistons. Gay-Smith-Cousins? Who in their right mind would do that? Might as well get Jennings at PG and JR Smith at SG.

Gay and Smith on the same team

That might work if you we're playing with 2 basketballs.
