A classy commercial. Understated and very well made.

I didn't like it because I feel slightly jealous. Rey Ordonez came up at the same time as Jeter. Where is re2pect for Rey Rey? Oh well, maybe in 10 years David Wright will have 4 rings and a Nike commercial.

Have to admit Robert Merrill's voice does give me chills when he says, "Now batting for the Yankees, number 2, Derek Jeter, number 2." It's one of the best sounds in baseball -- ever. Next is Mo's Enter Sandman. Mets don't even have Jane Jarvis anymore. Sheesh.
"The 90 wins is about challenge. It's about changing the conversation. It's about framing questions for ourselves as to how we get there. So I stand by the notion that we need to get better, and in doing so we need to set concrete goals for ourselves so that we have sort of specific conversations among ourselves about how we're going to get there." -- Mr. Alderson

Great ad. I've never been as big a Jeter guy as some people, but it's great the kind of send-off he's getting this year.
