7th Annual PSD Player Rankings #7 PG In The NBA? (Volume: VII)

Hey guys, It is that time of year again! Once again we kick of the PSD NBA Off-Season Player Rankings. This is the 7th year I have done this on PSD and it typically always makes for good deabte and often initates terrific discussion. Consider that when these polls first began, the likes of Baron Davis and Devin Harris were cracking these polls. Which player will you rank high this year that may get some raised eyebrows as the years pass by? Only time will tell. Please keep things civil and discuss who you feel is most fitting and deserving of being voted in each poll.

A lot has changed since last season. Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs are NBA champions for the 5th time after getting some revenge for their finals loss last season to the Heat. We could be looking at the end of the big 3 era.

Let start the discussion since lots has changed since the start of last season. Please TRY AND VOTE FOR THE BEST PLAYER AND DON'T BE A HOMER. I will leave the poll open for one day and than we can carry on to the next best player at that position. I will add more players after each round. I have also included the results of those last 6 years so everyone can see how much things have changed...Enjoy.

For a player to be eligible for this years poll, they must of played in a minimum of 10 games.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best. Though we do recognize that some voters will vote based soley on potential and others by last years numbers.

Nobody left can take over a game like Ty Lawson, he deserves so much more credit than he gets, incredibly underrated

I anticipate great things from a healthy Derrick Rose this upcoming season. For Rose its not so much a question of potential as it is health. He's shown what an impactful player he can be when healthy. This very thread is a testament to D.Roses greatness by ranking him the second best PG in 2011 & 2012. Now he's barely in contention for the 7th best PG in the league spot in 2014. How can I put this, "me no think so".

It's pretty close between John Wall and Ty Lawson here, but I went with the former. Wall's likely the best defender, ball handler and passer left on this list, and he's beginning to show the propensity to take over games like Lawson, who he's still three years younger than.

    Hey FB,
I find that a League with a bunch of very good PGs is a recipe for high-quality team-work, ball-movement, faster play ... in other words, for a more-enjoyable NBA experience.

btw, I don't feel like I know nearly enough to choose between these guys at this point - so not voting (yet). I might based on the other posters' insights.

Ya it never ceases to amaze me how much more talent there is at PG than anywhere else in the league right now, a top 50 players of the NBA list could have like 20 pgs

Theres so much talent that I can't even get upset about the guy I think is deserving (Ty) not getting his due because there are so many guys that deserve to be in this top 10 list

He's an unproven commodity at this point, he is no more deserving to be on this list than a rookie imo, you cant just not play for two years and still be considered top 10 at your position until you prove yourself again(and I expect he will). He is as deserving of being on this list as Marcus Smart, he shouldn't even sniff it

I don`t get why thess polls are so "slow"? Last year many more ppl showed interest, now it`s like ~20-30 ppl vote...
