    How about the opposite?

I used to think Michael Huff could be good if he was used differently than he was while on the Raiders, but then he went to the Ravens and played like absolute dog chit.

I almost put "don't do the opposite" in my OP lol.

I was like, yeah won't be long until someone does that...it's not a big deal but this was the question I wanted to ask. Most fans don't want to admit they were against someone who ended up good lol.

For GB, mine is probably Mike Daniels, when we drafted him I was just like wow, what a waste.

Other teams is probably Matt Ryan to some extent, he's still not great but I thought he was putrid.

Doug Free, DAL, RT. I had no idea how this guy could ever be a starting tackle in the NFL but he really started to play well last year and I am looking forward to the O Line this year.

As for another team...hm, I dont think I can come up with one off the top of my head.

For Pittsburgh: William Gay. Really good CB, but he's a nickel specialist and as CB2 he's kinda horrible.

Other teams: Jordy Nelson. I thought he was a beneficiary of playing with some other good weapons in GB. But his last two seasons really opened my eyes to how good he is.

For the Packers, I guess Boykin is better than I expected? I don't know, I can't really say that there is one. I usually give players the benefit of the doubt for two years. Typically when I don't think someone is good, they end up not becoming good. There are some players who, if they become good this year, will fit this though. Biggest one would be Nick Perry.

For other teams, easily Marshawn Lynch. I was thoroughly unimpressed with him in Buffalo. I didn't think his YPC were deserving of the hype, and I figured his totals were a product of being the only player on the offense. I thought he was a mediocre running and receiving back. I remember when the Packers were supposedly going to trade for him that I only was for it because he was at least a legitimate back, which we didn't think we had at that point. Obviously, he has since proven me wrong.

Brandon Fusco for Minnesota. Always thought he was "just a guy" that was starting at RG because we had no better options at the position, but he's done surprisingly well recently, enough to be well in the top half of active guards in the league.

Can't really think of anyone outside of Minny, so I'll just say Josh Gordon. Didn't know much about him when he came out except that he was an off-field troublemaker, so I didn't bother paying much attention to him. Considering that he helped me get to the championship round of my fantasy league last year, I'd say I've taken notice of him now. Too bad the poor kid had to get suspended by that jealous *** Roger Goodell. :sarcasm:

I used to doubt JJ Watt because of the hype he got after one season, now I believe in him and think he gets underrated because he didn't have as many flashy stats as he did the year before.

I thought Brian Cushing was just a workout warrior, needless to say he is legit as ****.

For Seattle I didn't like the Michael Bennet signing I thought it was kind of redundant and he was just a 3-4 type end who wouldn't generate a ton of pass rush. Again major wrong.

Lions: DeAndre Levy. He always seemed to be missing tackles and generally just finding a way to blow a play until last season when he became the MVP of our defense (could argue Suh there as well).

Other: Aldon Smith. Never cared for him coming out of college. I expected him to take a few years to really blossom if he were to at all. Whoops.

Doubted Aldon Smith and I was wrong. Well his character sucks, but that's apart from his game.

I'm going to go with Robert Mathis. I didn't think he'd be this good without Dwight Freeney plus I thought there would be some initial struggles moving to OLB from DE.
