    Andray Blatche Meets With Raptors

Would be a great sign imo

The Toronto Raptors will meet with free-agent forward Andray Blatche on Wednesday in Las Vegas, according to league sources.

The talented 6-foot-11 forward was a key member of the Brooklyn Nets last season, averaging 11.2 points and 5.3 rebounds off the bench.

Blatche, a 27-year-old veteran of nine seasons, has career averages of 10.1 points and 5.4 rebounds. He played the past two seasons in Brooklyn, but the Nets have not shown much interest in re-signing him.

His athleticism and versatility, however, would seem to make him a nice fit with the Raptors, one of the Eastern Conference's young, up-and-coming teams.

Would love it. Hayes was useless last year when Jonas got in foul trouble and we needed Hayes for long stretches. He's pathetic offensively and slow as hell. He should be one of the guys wearing a suit every game, being a veteran leader.
Wouldn't take our full MLE i'd think.
2 year deal with a team option after year 1 would be boss.

Blatche always kills us so it would be a nice signing. Just watching him play with the Nets, he seems a much smarter player than he once was.

He's either going to excel under Casey or stick in the doghouse.

I dont really think the would be in caseys dog house, he would fit a need the team currently has.

I don't see Blatche as a very bright guy so I can see James Johnson all over again.

he played well for the nets last year... with no lopez, and kg being out for so long would brooklyn have gone on that run to get in the playoffs if it wasnt for blatche ? plus I havent heard any thing negative about him since joining the nets. kids grow up.

Talented player but immature, wouldn't be a bad signing though. Our bench is gonna look pretty good

He's always been a headcase... so if Casey can somehow get the talent out of him all the while keeping him disciplined, than this would easily be the best FA pickup (outside of signing Lowry).

Wouldn't be opposed to the signing.

The "headcase" issue doesn't worry me either, we have enough high character vets that would keep him in check.

KG probably woulda slapped the **** out of him that's why. He has had a reputation as a headcase for all seasons but one. I will stick to it for now.
