    Lance Stephenson

I've read a couple of threads where it's mentioned Sixers could go this way. They have the money, and Lance would get his oppurtunity to be a no.1 scorer this year, and he'd be on a young team that over the next three seasons will drastically become better. MCW and Lance up front would be a seriously legit set of guards that could conceivably stay together for 8 to 10 years. Eventually if Dario comes and Embiid works out that would be four starters that could be electric. I think in the best case scenario Noel and Pierre come off the bench to supply serious bursts of energy, leaving the SF position the only thing we have to adress in next couple of years, maybe with next year's lotto

Ummm no need for this to have its own thread...where have you seen one rumor that the 76ers were going after Lance Stephenson? 76ers have zero interest in him especially when he wants a better contract then $9 mil per year....

Where did anyone get the crazy idea that lance Stevenson could be a scoring option? Has everyone just ignored how insanely average he was last season?

As a top option his fg% would be even lower while his usage goes up significantly.

    He'd be a 17ppg guy who shoots 41 and 32.... Ish.

And we'd be locked into that for money for 4-5 years.... He's a 6mil dollar player who got overrated in a complimentary role.

At least chandler parsons can shoot! Ha

Well this is a pretty misguided post. Stephenson is not average. He led the league in triple doubles. That's not average. He also shot better from the field than your boy Parsons and really not much difference in 3 pt%. Can people stop overrating Parsons please. He does some things good but people are going overboard with this guy like he's a difference maker. He fits well in Houston wide open style of play but I'm not ready to throw superstar status his way just yet.

And Stephenson was the 3rd/4th option behind Hibbert, West, George.

I would pass on Stephenson, he has the type of demeanor to think the team should be build around him and it shouldn't.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Stephenson, he's not for the Sixers right now. It's not the process.

They just lost Pierre, what's the process. Young guys who can grow while they wait for the big boys.

Figure out which of their young guys is a #1 option star or trading pieces for one. Once they have that sign whoever and whatever seems to work. No signing anyone before finding said star.

Exactly...maintain cap flexibility and collect assets until the core players, including a star is in place. No reason to sign Stephenson at this time.

There is no set in stone process...

But signing a well below all star player without significant upside to a long term deal is def the wrong move.

I know we are not signing Lance..but the way some of you talk about this kid...you would swear think he has no game.....Lance is gonna have the same kind of blow up James Harden did if he leaves and goes to the right team...say what you like the kid is talented....
Big ups to Phins1983 for the Sig!!!
