    Blackhawks Trivia

Just to keep the forum going strong with the lack of news. Answer the question and ask the next. Let's have some fun!

    Q. Since 1995, three Blackhawks have streaks of three consecutive hat tricks for the team. Can you name all three players?

I'm a bit confused by the "three consecutive hat tricks" part. Mostly what consecutive means in this context.

I tried to word it as best I could. The three players had streaks of three hat tricks, not in consecutive games, but uninterrupted by another player scoring a hat trick. So, the 213th, 214th, and 215th hat tricks in Blackhawks history were all scored by the same player. The 216th, 217th, and 218th hat tricks were scored by a different Blackhawk, but all by the same player. The 228th, 229th, and 230th hat tricks were scored by yet another player, before his streak was broken.

Three different players. Three different hat trick streaks of three occasions. All happened between 1995-2002.

Gotcha - my guess, without looking at anything...Roenick, Amonte, Daze.

Amonte and Daze are correct, in that order. Roenick had the hat trick previous to the player you're missing, whose unbelievable run of hat tricks were on Feb. 5, Feb. 28, and March 31 in 1995. All of them on the road, all against teams in the Pacific division.

Out of the 4 major sports, who was the last team to not televise their home games besides the Blackhawks?

Oh man. Good question. This is a complete guess, but I'm going to say the Cleveland Browns.

Incorrect. Clue 2...they were 1 of 2 teams in a certain geographical area. A pretty large area at that.

Now that I'm thinking about this...I just hope this still is true and that no other team has started to do this! I know when the Blackhawks finally started showing home games that this was true at that point.

That's a tough one. I'm assuming it's a small market team but then again the Hawks aren't a small market team and they went through it.

I'm going to go the other way and say that it was so long ago that it was a bigger team than you would think. I'll go Mets.

Everyone is incorrect so far. Last clue that should give it away...they are no longer a team.
