    The Triangle Offense

" The triangle offense", has been used hundreds of times since Phil was named President of basketball operations.

Can someone very knowledgeable please explain in simplistic terms how it works and what type of players does a team to make it work.

    Thank you

Go on youtube and search "bballbreakdown triangle offense." Very good and simple breakdown. Sportscience also did a 2min breakdown and there are old 2010 finals clips. Youtube is a gold mine for you.

It's all about open lanes, ball movement, and player movement. Again you find this in any system.

It's a basic offense, really. But with Jackson's offense, you need people with high IQs to be cognizant of all the possible options on the floor at a given time, and a willingness to pass and exploit weaknesses when they become apparent.

People exaggerate the high IQ part. If you move the ball and cut you will be fine. Plus there is still iso ball its just from the high and low post and the spacing is always fundamentally sound.
