Lakers stealth: They said they didn't have meeting set up with LeBron James' agent but Kupchak + Lakers biz VP Tim Harris are in Cleveland.

Kupchak and Harris flew to Cleveland on a private jet immediately after meeting with Carmelo in Los Angeles this afternoon.

Mitch should tell the agent we're prepared to offer him the max, but if he doesn't sign here it would be in your client's best interest to sign a short term deal. In 2 years we'll have cap space and a younger team with more talent. Kobe's contract will be gone and we can pair him with another star.

We gave Kobe 25m so we'll be sure to take care of your guy when he gets older

#Patriots are 9-2 and their second highest paid player this season is Aaron Hernandez. Let that sink in.

Do you think they're willing to continue to go "All-out" and go over the Luxury tax again just to sign him? I mean you gotta consider, if by some long stretch we do sign both Melo & Lebron, we won't need to be key players in free agency next season due to those two being here for the next 4-5yrs. Not to mention Randle continuing to grow.

However, I will lmaO if we sign both after being denied Chris Paul in the Vetoed trade heard 'round the World...lol

Why does NO ONE talk about Kobe renegotiating his contract and allowing, both, Carmelo and LeBron to get the max contracts they seek. That way it shows Love's willingness to sacrifice money for championships. When he signed that huge contract to begin with, I felt then that this was the plan designed for this 2014 free agency period.
