Is Jamaal Charles The Best All-Around Back In The League?

    Discuss.

Best runner: Hell no. AP wins that title hands-down. He's probably top 5, though.

Best pass-catcher: Probably. Forte would be in the conversation as well, but it's hard to pick against Charles since the offense revolves more around the short pass than Chicago's does.

Best in open field: Again, difficult to pick against him, assuming we're only talking about feature backs (otherwise, Darren Sproles would probably take the crown here).

Fastest: Yes, although one could make a case for Chris Johnson here as well.

Overall: I don't really see how you can't put Charles at #1. A year or two ago it might have been different, considering AP was actually healthy back then, but now, Charles seems like the clear-cut #1 to me.

If you count blocking no, I'd say forte has every facet of a RB down

I like Shady in the open field a little more. His moves have moves. But Jamaal is right behind him.

And it's same with pass catching IMO.

I feel like the OP has never watch Shady McCoy play

I watch every eagles game, and a LOT of chiefs games. Shady is definitely the better all around back.

and it is NOT even close in the open field, if you think it is you dont watch Shady play, he has the best open field moves since Sanders (not saying hes as good as Sanders)

Shady is definitely more on a dime. Charles is agile too but he's more of a slasher to me.

Their receiving prowess is close enough. This doesn't matter but every time I see Charles I just think "how does he not get hurt?" Which is part of my view on him.

And I've said that Sanders thing before too. Like all the time. It feels like sacrilege but it's true.

IMO, not only is Shady the best all around, he's just flat out better than AP anyways. The sum of the parts beat him.

I'll go ahead and get it out of the way, Lynch.

He's not, but honestly his case isn't terrible.

It's gotta be Shady here. I can see a case for Jamaal or Forte, though.

I'd go with McCoy over Charles but it's close. Just feel like McCoy has more talent and is less prone to getting hurt. Also I've watched both of them a ton and just feel more impressed every time I watch McCoy's jukes.
