Celtics agree to terms with Bradley, 4 years 32 million

Baxter Holmes: Can confirm that the #Celtics & RFA Avery Bradley have agreed to a deal. Terms: 4-year-deal worth $32 million. Twitter @BaxterHolmes
    Welcome back, AB.

As I said, the Celtics would go up to 7-8 to keep him

Between sessions and saw twitter exploding with news that Bradley has signed,

If DAnny signed him for the reported $8 M / year ... smh.... really disappointed. That's another Jeff Green albatross contract that will be hanging around the franchises neck for the next four years if he isn't healthier than he has been.

We started to see why he was ranked similarly to John Wall in high school. He's finally developing deeper jumpers.

    He's greatly improved.

I like it. Avery is still only 23, he should keep improving.

Contract is fully guaranteed with no options. This deal almost makes sure Rondo is gone and that's the only reason i like it.
Basketball is like war in that offensive weapons are developed first, and it always takes a while for the defense to catch up.

I really like thinking about what a Marcus Smart/Avery Bradley combo could look like in a couple years. Especially defensively.

Yep. Even this year. They're going to terrorize people.

This is basically the contract Bradley wanted back in October and DAnny refused to do it. What has changed between then and now? He certainly hasn't proven he can stay healthy.

I just showed you what changed. Look at his offensive development from last year to this year.

8 isn't the worst. He still has some upside, there have already been worse contracts this Summer

More money than I hoped it would be, but I'm glad they were able to keep him. The fact that his whole offensive game is based on off-ball stuff (he mostly looks best to me when he's catching and shooting or making cuts towards the hoop) should allow him to play well with Smart.

The real excitement is obviously going to be on the defensive side, though.

I like it, just hope he can stay healthy. I love his development, but I hope his health and big contract doesn't bite us in the end.

Good deal, could look even better in a few years. 23 years old, all NBA defender, scoring increase every year. Even averaged 17pp36 this year, I like the deal.

Stevens is a great system coach for him as well. He's going to look even better.
