I really hope Morey bring him to Houston this year, he could be our Manu (6th man) that we need.

Well good news. It seems like he will be coming over this year, and it seems like he is bringing his buddy and former Houston Rocket, Joey Dorsey with him on 2 year deals

Chris Bosh signing for the max will do this to Rockets fans

Kostas looks like he can shoot 3's and dunk. But I didn't see him creating any shots for himself (like Manu).

    Can he defend?

As someone who knows nothing about him what would be a good comparison for him? Andrei Kirilenko?

He'll wait until 2015, according to ESPN. Let him stay there, develop a little more.

I was really bummed to read about this, but I can't totally knock Morey for this one. A 2-year, $4 million contract for this guy was pretty reasonable, especially after he put up such mediocre numbers last year. Hopefully the guy will get one more year to develop, come back and sign a reasonable deal a year from now. Houston could certainly use a rotational ring with the intangibles and toughness he brings to the table.

Used up $4.8m of our MLE on him apparently so that's our last big signing

That probably means that a trade is coming or what?

If there is a trade in the works it won't be for a while. Not until at least this love trade is finalised.

I'm not exactly thrilled by this signing, because I think that's a lot of money for a player with no prior NBA experience. But if he can provide what we expected Marion to provide (aka solid defense, 3-point shooting and solid intangibles), then this is a win and he'll be worth the contract. I've been really concerned about the lack of depth on the wings since Parsons left, and this alleviates a lot of that concern.

This will be a very, very interesting season if nothing else than to see how some of these young guys step up when given the opportunity to get a spot on a contending rotation. Hopefully this guy is ready for that challenge and can be part of this core of players for a long time.

How do Euroleague stats usually translate to the NBA? I saw this guy only scored 7 ppg in I think 26 minutes and shot 36% from 3. For some reason I imagine there is more of an emphasis on 3's in the NBA so he may get a couple points better than that. I also read that he has questionable defense somewhere

This is from an article Hollinger wrote in 2009 dealing with the Drop off in production from the Euroleague to the NBA

    Scoring rate decreases 25 percent
Rebound rate increases by 18 percent
Assist rate increases by 31 percent
Shooting percentage drops by 12 percent
Overall, player efficiency rating drops by 30 percent

That has always been my base for expectations.
