Marco Gonzales, LHP
Tim Lincecum, RHPGonzales' debut came Wednesday against his hometown Rockies. Only one runner had reached before Gonzales allowed five runs in the fourth inning. He exited after five innings, giving up seven hits.
Wednesday, July 2, 7:15 PM PDT , AT&T ParkLincecum's coming off his second career no-hitter, which doesn't guarantee him success this time around. He allowed Cincinnati eight runs and nine hits in 3 2/3 innings in his first start following his initial no-hitter last year.
Adam Wainwright, RHP
Ryan Vogelsong, RHPWainwright pitched a complete game on Thursday but lost because of no run support. He has gone eight innings deep in eight of his 16 starts this season and has allowed one or fewer runs in 10 starts.
Vogelsong hopes to continue the momentum he built against Cincinnati in his last start, when he halted a three-game slump, during which he recorded a 7.31 ERA.

Carlos Martinez, RHP
Madison Bumgarner, LHPMartinez threw a season-high 82 pitches Friday but exited two outs short of qualifying for the win. The Cards have, though, won all three of his starts. He needs to improve his rhythm pitching out of the stretch if he wants to get deeper into games.
Bumgarner's last start (five earned runs in six innings) was his season's worst. He'd been Mr. Reliable before that, as he'd thrown at least seven innings in his six previous starts. He allowed eight earned runs in that span.
