Which Teams Will Turn It Around and Which Will Tank in 2014

Every year we see favorite teams tank and previously struggling teams turn it around. Some drastic changes from 2012 to 2013:

Texans go from 12-4 to 2-14
Chiefs go from 2-14 to 11-5
Eagles from 4-12 to 10-6 division winners
    Redskins from 10-6 to 3-13
    Vikings from 10-6 to 5-10-1
    Falcons from 13-3 to 4-12
    Panthers from 7-9 to 12-4
    Cardinals from 5-11 to 10-6

Hard to predict things like injuries and over-performance of rookie QBs, but which teams do you think will improve and which will crash this year?

Washington will be better than 3-13, about .500.
I would say Minnesota, but that division is tough.
I could see Green Bay/Chicago go from .500 to 12-4 teams.
Buffalo is my surprise team. I think they push for a playoff berth. 6-10 to 10-6.
Atlanta will be a trendy pick.

As far as the other side, I could see KC coming down.
Cincy is going to have a tougher time this year. Hard schedule, division should be better.
    Seahawks will go 0-16.

I think Jacksonville, Detroit & Tampa put together solid seasons. Tough to pick a top team falling, but I think too much rests on Charles in KC...I can see them tanking if he falls.

    My "will be better" list:

Browns - hate saying it every year, but the D is still solid and love the additions of Tate and Dansby. As long as either Hoyer or Johnny Manziel is remotely stable I think they can improve from 4 wins last year. Thinking they'll hover in the .500 area.

Texans - Even with Fitzpatrick I gotta believe they rebound a bit with that D and end up an 8-8 team.

Raiders - I actually like the moves they made. Got older, but classier.

Falcons - Big time rebound with healthy receivers. They'll be a 10+ win playoff team again.

Packers - My Super Bowl pick for 2014. I think they'll get back to dominating everyone.

    "Will be worse" list:
    Bengals
Broncos - I think the effects of that lost Super Bowl are gonna linger. I hope not. Would love to see them dominate again, but I don't see it.
Panthers - Didn't get enough offensive help in the offseason. Could see them fall off. Love that D though.
Niners - Too much drama and seems like a volatile situation right now. Seahawks are still built strong, Cardinals look solid and Rams improved. I think it could be a down year for SF.

Texans will not do much better 4 or 5 wins
Chiefs will tank this year no more than 6 wins
Eagles will win their division 12 wins
Redskins will do better but only 8-8
    Falcons win 8 or 9
Panthers will have another 12-4 year
Cardinals will win the division and go to the SB 12 or 13 wins
on a side note the Raiders will just miss the playoffs and go 8-8 but will show promise for the future
Also the 49ers will not make the playoffs this year they will do good but end up much like the Cardinals did last year. Making it a forgone conclusion more playoff games will be added the next year.

And you are what your record says you are.
Sure liked the two years before DA and RM 1 game away from playoffs.
And some say we are better off today.

That was just off the top of my head quickly. Other teams will be worse just not notably.

Obviously it wasn't serious. It would be a dream come true though.

Jace Amaro could be the type of target which raises the Jets QB play to competent.

    Jets breakout team

    Panthers crash

I also think the Jets could surprise a bit as they finally decided to get some targets for the QB this season.

Panthers probably take a nose dive but not necessarily intentionally.

I think the Jets will be very up and down. They'll beat teams they aren't supposed to and look like a playoff team, but then they'll lose games they're supposed to win and look bad. Kind of how they were last year

Up and down is pretty popular among most of these teams. The play of the Jets QB and if the Pats are more vulnerable than usual are two questions to be answered. There is no question however, that a top DL, maybe the best in football, are the Jets. They're interesting IMO.
