    Atlanta Braves (38-37) @ Houston Astros (33-44) 6/24-6/26

    @

    Atlanta Braves @Houston Astros

    Tuesday, 6/24 8:10 PM

    Aaron Harang, RHP (5-6, 3.83 ERA/3.02 FIP/3.93 xFIP) vs Scott Feldman, RHP (3-4, 3.95 ERA/4.44 FIP/4.51 xFIP)

Harang gave up nine runs (eight earned) on a season-high 13 hits in his most recent turn, on Wednesday, vs. the Phillies. Harang has a 5.46 ERA in 10 starts since he gave up just three earned runs in his first five outings.

Feldman has won just once since beginning the season with dominant wins in two consecutive starts. Since allowing one run in 20 2/3 innings to start the season, he has gone 1-4 with a 5.56 ERA in his past nine starts.
    Wednesday, 6/25 8:10 PM

    Alex Wood, LHP (2-5, 3.00 ERA/3.24 FIP/2.97 xFIP) vs Collin McHugh, RHP (4-5, 2.76 ERA/2.97 FIP/3.45 xFIP)

To monitor his workload, Wood was moved to the bullpen after he allowed two earned runs or fewer in six of his first seven starts this season. The southpaw stretched his arm out while making two Minor League starts this month.

McHugh has lost his past two starts, but he did not allow an earned run in six innings in his previous start, Thursday vs. the Rays. He has allowed only 46 hits in 65 1/3 innings and has lowered his ERA to 2.76..

    Thursday, 6/26 2:10 PM

    Mike Minor, LHP (2-4, 4.20 ERA/4.21 FIP/3.35 xFIP) vs Jarred Cosart, RHP (7-5, 3.78 ERA/3.91 FIP/4.03 xFIP)

Minor surrendered a career-high 11 hits in consecutive starts and then rebounded to notch a season-high 11 strikeouts against the Nationals on Friday. He's relied more on his breaking balls and shied away from his changeup.

Cosart is 3-0 with a 2.57 ERA over his past three starts. Since allowing seven runs in one-third of an inning in Oakland on April 18, Cosart has gone 6-3 with a 2.84 ERA over 11 starts. The Astros are 6-5 in those games.

Time to get on a streak. It's been long enough of this crap *** play. Back 2 games out of first...if this continues it's slowly going to get to 4/5 and before you know we're out of it by September or going to need a an epic meltdown from others.

At this early stage..if we want to get into the play-offs..the division is the way to go..cause if we're banking on a WC spot..we're going to be battling with teams like St.louis/Dodgers/Reds....yea..we ain't winning those 1 game play-offs.

If we get to a point where we are 5-6 games out in the next couple of weeks, I would honestly like to see us become sellers, drop back to a 2-3 year plan, and fire Wren and Gonzo. It's possible to unload Uggla and BJ and possibly even Johnson, while eating some/most salary on each. Let the young guys play and gear up for a fresh start when we move to the new stadium. I know we're not used to this, but there comes a time to accept our shortcomings and lie in the bed we've made.

    Freeman 3

    Heyward 9
    J. Upton 7
    Johnson 5
    Simmons 6

    Harang gets the start

That's...new. In a way...originally wanted TLS at #2..so there's that it sets up the back to back lefties something that Fredi has said he doesn't prefer.

Kind of a quick trigger on TLS at lead-off, really but I have to say it increases the chances of someone getting on in front of Freeman...so there's also that.

Lol what? We've been one of the most successful teams in baseball over the last 5 years and still have one of the youngest teams in the league. That is not when you decide to rebuild. Very perplexing post by a "fan."

FREDO just doesn't get it. Move B.J. to the 8 hole or even 9, even the pitcher makes more contact.

Starting the game with Mr. Out is not a good tone setter.

Justin only needs a fly ball and can't even do that right now.
