Los Angeles Dodgers (42-35) @ Kansas City Royals (39-36)

    ...................................

Los Angeles Dodgers (42-35) @ Kansis City Royals (39-36)

    Kauffman Stadium

Game 1. Monday, 5:10PM. Sports Net.

    Zack Greinke

    91.0 IP | 2.57 ERA | 3.10 FIP | .313

Greinke returns to face the club with which he won the AL Cy Young in 2009. He faced the Royals twice in 2012 with a pair of no-decisions for the Angels.
    vs.

    Jeremy Guthrie

    98.0 IP | 3.86 ERA | 4.75 FIP | .266 BABIP

Guthrie won his first two starts, went 11 starts without a win and has now won his last two. Manager Ned Yost said Guthrie's latest start, at Detroit, was his best of the season. He went 6 2/3 innings, gave up only a solo homer and struck out nine.

    Tuesday, 5:10PM. MLB Network.

    Clayton Kershaw

    64.1 IP | 2.52 ERA | 1.59 FIP | .309 BABIP

Kershaw is venturing into uncharted waters. He's never made a start coming off a no-hitter. Despite the uncertainty, the Dodgers like their chances.
    vs.

    Danny Duffy

    61.0 IP | 2.80 ERA | 3.89 FIP | .213 BABIP

Duffy's had four straight starts in which he's given up fewer than three runs and two of them were scoreless efforts. He took a loss Thursday at Detroit despite holding the Tigers to two runs and three hits.

    Wednesday, 5:10PM. Sports Net.

    Dan Haren

    92.0 IP | 3.62 ERA | 4.29 FIP | .287 BABIP

Haren has been plagued lately by homers and runs allowed in the early innings. That said, he's on pace for matching his career high of 16 wins.
    vs.

    James Sheilds

    104.2 IP | 3.70 ERA | 4.03 FIP | .310 BABIP

Shields has gone nine straight starts without a loss, including four no-decisions. One of those came on Friday night when he gave up five runs to the Mariners but was spared by a KC rally. He hasn't gone at least six innings only twice in 16 games.

Game 3 is the one I'm most concerned about, though game 2 vs Danny Duffy could be challenging.

This stadium is beautiful... too bad the weather looks like **** for Monday and Wednesday, I'm so sick of this garbage *** weather we've been getting on the road. SMH

If/when we get these games played, I'm thinking we win 2/3 games. #WinningSeries

Guthrie has thrown 28 pitches through 4 innings. Dodgers making some good contact...but can't find the holes.

Ugh. I feel like as soon as Greinke did not get that called third strike...this inning would go down hill.

This offense refuses to hit against pitchers they haven't faced before.

KC bull pen has been so lights out this year, this team is almost better off letting Guthrie pitch into the 8th inning.

So yasiel puig is clearly playing through injury and it's really affecting him at the plate.
