Jays take on Votto & the Reds - June 20-22

    Toronto Blue Jays

    Vs

    Cincinnati Reds

    Friday June 20 7:10

    Liam Hendriks vs Mat Latos

Hendriks will be promoted from Triple-A Buffalo prior to the game in order to make a spot start as the Blue Jays temporarily go with a six-man rotation. Hendriks made two starts earlier this season and allowed three runs over 11 2/3 innings.

With two hits over six scoreless innings, Latos had a fantastic season debut vs. the Brewers Saturday. The decision was made to lift him after 87 pitches because of a 24-pitch sixth inning that included a a 13-pitch at-bat. He took a no-decision.

    Saturday June 21, 4:10

    JA Happ vs Mike Leake

Happ is coming off one of his best starts of the season. He allowed one run on seven hits over seven strong innings to earn a victory vs Baltimore. It marked the fourth time in five starts that Happ pitched at least six innings.

    Sunday June 22, 1:10

    RA Dickey vs Johnny Cueto

Dickey was forced to leave his last start in the seventh inning because of a groin injury. That's one of the reasons the Blue Jays pushed back his next outing until Sunday. He will be making this outing on three extra days' rest.

Cueto didn't have his best outing against the Pirates on Tuesday, but gave up just two runs in six innings against the Pirates. Cueto has gone six innings or fewer in all three of his June starts. However, he still leads the NL in innings with 108.

Vic Mackey: You better figure out how much you hate me. And how you're going to deal with that. 'Cause I'm not going anywhere.

This sums up every sports interview, ever.

Latos coming off injury, but don't know what Hendriks brings other than, maybe, but seeing it hard to win more than 1.

But I find it interesting that Cueto and Leake are both under 6 feet an basically the same size as Stroman and yet these guys made it and are damn good pitchers.
Height hasn`t stopped them, and it shouldn`t stop Stroman from success either..jmho

not a good time to face the Reds with Votto/Bruce/Latos/Chapman back and Hamilton starting to hit

we're actually facing good pitchers this series and considering how we've done against the mediocre pitchers we've faced lately, its not looking that promising

Zaun takes a few days off and Sportsnet spoils us with the insight of Kevin Barker. I was asking myself how did this guy get a gig on tv talking baseball then I read he's married to Hazel Mae. I mean I don't mind Zaun but if he's not there you're telling me they can't bring anyone with a resume in temporarily? **** me.

The jays aren't even looking cold anymore, they just look like a bad baseball team in general.
